Railfanning Santa Fe Springs Part 2, 7/22/10
This is Part 2, the final part of my trip to Santa Fe Springs to catch some trains. Filmed on a very nice summer day in July 2010. Caught the Amfleet set running on ...
Amtrak Southwest Chief #3 in Santa Fe Springs - 2/17/13
Amtrak's westbound Southwest Chief #3 crosses Lakeland Rd on a foggy Sunday morning at 6:50am. This train is running on time and is about 15 minutes away ...
I had 50 leading 25 on the South West Chief from LA to Chicago in September
2011 and had to put up with that horn all the way as my bedroom was 2 cars
from the front. Cannot believe there are so many grade crossings in Kansas!
Thanks! Ya the Chief is another one of my fav trains to catch!! Ya man,
freaking 10 is still here, I saw it today. I got 168 a few times too, it's
not too bad! Haven't seen a Chief vid from you in a while...?? Maybe soon?
Yea man, my computer has been getting worked on for the last week or so, so
I haven't been able to post anything recently. But I have still been out
there filming, and I plan on posting a new video as soon as tomorrow.
only 7 cars? kinda short for the chief, is 150 on the surfline right now?
cause i heard a funky sounding K5LA just like this the other night on 790,
cant remember if it was last night for the night before
Ya 7 cars is pretty short for the Chief. They run this more in the winter
time, or the "off season" I don't think 150 is down here. The only ones I
know of are 10 and 168 right now...
Nice video man! Always go to see the Chief from you! I would see it was
worth getting up early to catch, ha! Also, it appears you still have 10 on
the Surf, but the Chief now has 168.
