It looks like a diesel-powered Ford F-150 is coming. DETAILS: //www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2016/01/ford-f-150-diesel-caught-testing-in-spy-video.html ...
I test drove the new F150 and all I can say is that it was the worst test
drive I ever been on. I would never recommend Baxter Ford to anyone due to
their terrible customer service. Also the truck had some wonderful
corrosion on it already. A nice big hole on its driver side fender where my
hand went right through.
+Anthony S. Coming from what you said as well, you would most likely think that the Titanic was unsinkable. Which was funny, it was designed and built in compartments. So if water got into one compartment, it didn't get into the rest. The issue was that they could not of been sealed. The water basically went over the top of one and down the other.
+Anthony S. Do you actually know how many times that the US Navy has to replace panels of their aircraft? It's more often than you think due to corrosion from the salt water. Once the paint gets chipped, scratched it's a matter of time before the panel has to be removed and replaced. Also, you have to be a complete uneducated moron to think that Aluminum doesn't corrode.
+3.6L Dodge Avenger Aluminum doesn't corrode it oxidizes retard. Ford uses the military grade stuff, its the same shit that makes up the US Navy aircraft sitting atop the aircraft carriers that are exposed to salt water. Why don't you take the back of your head and slam it into the hood of your piece of crap Avenger and we'll see how soft the metal is.
+3.6L Dodge Avenger This coming from a guy who bought the most bland , pathetic and cheapest built car to come out of an American factory..........haha
Sorry, but those are the facts. You're the only fan boy here that feeds off of Ford propaganda. Also, the Aluminum is also very soft and dents easily. You can lean against the bed and it will dent. Don't believe me, ask the Ford fan boys at new Castle construction.
I'm very well versed in the way and time that aluminum corrodes. Clearly you're simply a fan boy of a different brand and that's fine. But don't be blabbing stupidity on here that's completely false. Half the people in this country live in areas where the salt and other chemicals are harsh on vehicles. And the paint job on a new f150 isn't cheap either.
Nice to know that you don't realize how fast Aluminum corrodes. Especially with its cheap paint job that exposed the alloy to the elements. Especially when introduced to salt waterYou also lack the knowledge on how the anti icer that Omaha uses eats away clear coats and paint.
Lol um no. first of all its aluminum it'll take longer Tha. you'll be alive for it to corrode. secondly even a bad dealership wouldn't keep a new vehicle with a hole in it.
It is recommended that if you do a lot of towing and hauling then the V8 is suggested, and now that would include the Diesel. Also it's suggested that if you only do occasional towing and hauling and run empty most of the time then the Ecoboost would be a good choice.
+Ponygt 662 The best I've gotten in my 05 Taurus was 27.2 mpg, currently 22.8 with snow tires. I really want this diesel just don't know if the $5-6k premium over the 5.0 is worth it. Decisions decisions...
+Escape for Mankind Yup, but Fords Dugenham plant is where JLR still makes its 3.0 v6 diesel as well as the 2.2l diesel engines, so Ford has the power to make diesels its just that their gas cars are doing so damn fine that the need for a diesel didnt make much senseBut the take here is Ford with the new 10 speed AT possibly can do over 30 mpg so, fora truck thats something that will attract some and to strengthen Fords supremacy in its segment, a hybrid truck is a big NO No according to me cuz linear Torque is what trucks need in abundance and Hybrids cannot do it nearly as good as conventional fuels
that was super sad on the powerstrokes end. no doubt that ford would
pull/tow better. but that little vortec held his own. with smaller tires he
probably couldve won.
So a truck with 1.2 more liters displacement,a TURBO, and NITROUS barely
beat a stock 350............wow. You turbo diesel guys really should be
proud.
I thought I was the only that looked at the Ford going straight but sideways at the same time. It's probably that the chassis got bent ( someone correct me if I'm wrong )
+Spushed 25. i once saw a school bus race 1 of these guys in a lifted truck.it was a short yellow bus and it smoked the doors off this turbo diesel truck all show and no go!i was like OMFG!!! r u kidding me??? no joke this happened.
this is awesome, i have been planning to make a diesel cobra for a while, I
have been looking at the 6.5L chev diesels as well as the Ford powerstrokes
and the Toyota VD engines, what is used in this cobra?
