It's cool, but I think it works a little too good for house humidification!

Hi, i have a under floor heating duct system that hot air comes out from.
if i build one of these units and place it near the vent intake, do you
think it will humidify the whole house using my existing ground vents? or
do you think that by the time the humidity reaches the heater through the
vent intake it will just evaporate? thank you

it will do your whole house as long as it sucks it in the intake. (putting water in a duct system isn't good just saying) duct board will absorb the water and mold over.

Hey man, I was wondering if you could explain in a bit more detail about
setting up the additional reservoir with a 7" mini float and a 1/4" npt
valve. I've never attempted anything that involves a set up such as this,
and i cannot find a 7" mini-float (did you mean the length of the arm on
the float?). And how/where (inside or out) to attatch it to the npt valve.

+The House of Hydro Ultrasonic Mist Maker SupplyUnfortunately we are out of the float until mid February 2015. You can find the other ones by searching mini float on google.
//www.thehouseofhydro.com/mist-maker-accessories.html Here is a link to our new floats. They are smaller than the float in the video, and allow for smaller applications. They can be mounted inside or outside the water tank. You basically hook your water source to the float via a npt valve or whatever fitting works for your application. The float is attached at the level you need to keep your water at. Hope this helps, John

hello. i'm looking to make an ultrasonic mister for my snakes tanks for
when they are sheading to keep humidity up. which would work the best for
me?
+Austin Holtzapple I would say a three would be good. You may have to run a one head constantly. You can limit the output to your tanks by turning the speed of your fan down.

Ok and a one would be good for it? Or would I need higher. I don't want it to die in 6 months
+Austin Holtzapple You can use one main humidifier, and use PVC with ball valves on the pipes to shut them on and off individually.

Ok I wanted to be able to connect them all to one system. But just have an on off for each tank. I have 3 tanks. 2 will be in a 55gal(at full grown there baby ball pythons.)And One red tail boa. Which will be in a little bigger than a 55.
It depends on how many tanks, and their size. I would say a one head for any normal sized tank.

If you plan on doing much more cutting with the chain saw, take the chain
to a shop and have them sharpen it. It shouldn't be more than about $10
and it will cut SO much better. If you are going to do a lot of sawing,
buy a second chain. That way if the first one gets dull, you can just swap
chains.
Sharpening a chain is not hard (NEVER use a power sharpener) but it make
training from an expert and a lot of practice.

I agree, it makes a huge difference. Also you can buy different chains that are more aggressive for your saw. Before mine was stolen, it was a beast!

+swanyut No, actually he stored up wood for next winter last year. It was still too green to use this year which is why he had to cut old wood all this winter.. What he just cut down will be good for winter after next but won't be seasoned enough for next winter.

WORST IDEA EVER!!!!!!!!
At first i thought this was a good idea. I did this to my cage about a
month and a half ago. Then last night, i came home to find my one year old
coastal carpet python wrapped in a ball of packing tape with her head in
the middle. Shes almost four feet long< and only about a foot of her wasnt
taped! the packing tape had fell on her from the inside. It caused alot of
damage to her skin, and im not sure how well shes going to recover! Please
learn from my mistakes, and DO NOT EVER PUT TAPE INSIDE YOUR
ENCLOSURE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just an update on kaiya, my coastal. She seems to be doing better. I do not want to slander this video because i did keep the packing tape on the outside of the cage. it works great. I just wanted to make people aware of the dangers of putting something in a cage that can harm their animals.
