Did Toto get to go for a swim at the lake? Seeing all the ATV's would be the turning point for me. When I go camping I want quiet. Thanks for the video again and say hi to Toto for me.

+2012escapee1 I don't know I never use it while there. I'm sure there's no signal.

+Wagon BurnerHow is the cell up there?

+2012escapee1 Yes it is. I like going to Moon Lake no ATV's aloud or any of the 500 lakes in the High Uinta Mountains. They have their place. They just don't mix well with Horses or hikers.

+Wagon Burner Toto doesn't swim, he just gets his feet wet. Utah is a big ATV state.

I have seen in other videos that people will hold a spot by pitching a tent on a spot. You could order a cheap popup tent that you could quickly set up so you will have a good spot when you get back. You find some interesting and lovely sites to stay at.

+Robert Phillips Good idea. I've been wanting to get a little tent, for just in case SHTF.

I've started dabbling watching your wonderful vids. I see you do both boondock and stay at parks. Which do you prefer and why? Got a list of pros and cons for each or a vid that you talked about that in? Thanks.

+shelleyfunny19 Boondocking is free, out in nature, which is nice, and parks have hookups and are usually close to shopping, which is nice. I think you have to do both, alternating.

Hey I recognize that place!....:) Too bad you had such a hard time on the roads. They really aren't that bad except for the little washed out area you drove through. There's plenty of room to by pass any rough spots. Go slow and you would be fine. I don't recognize the port-ta-potty spots, so that must be farther up the road past my camping spot? There were a dozen big camping spots near the creek on the main road into Pine Lake for gigantic rigs, did you check any of those out? It's summer time, unless it's dumped some rain the past couple days, you won't have any problem driving on grass or off a side road. Everything dries up to concrete. There's full 5 bar ATT cell there, so too bad you have Verizon!.....:) I checked Open Signal and there's a Verizon cell tower on the mountain above you, so maybe it was being worked on? Looks much busier than when I was there, so you must have had a OHV weekend or something. All the port-ta-potties make me think you had a club outing in that area. Go back any other time and I bet you would see very few people. Toto was well restrained to not go nuts over the cows on the road. Rocky would have gone ballistic with cows so close....:)

+NWHiker Might have been around the 4th, don't remember. But I was there for a month, and the area was busy with ATVs the whole time. People spending months there. Koosharem too, but much less populated.

+2012escapee1 That looks like a big Off Road Club was having their summer camp out. The port-ta-potties wouldn't have been there I don't think. That wasn't the 4th of July weekend was it?.....:) That area is the jumping off point for the Great Western OHV trail, so maybe it's a zoo once summer rolls around? Weird that all the time I was there I rarely saw an ATV.

+NWHiker Toto was going ballistic! Maybe the Verizon tower is just on the other side of the mountain, that was the problem at Koosharem. My wheel base is wider, and driving this thing, it's really hard to judge distance from the inside, especially on the passenger side. The porta-potties were north, on the other side of the dam. I did see encampments of 5th wheels coming in, like whole families and groups, maybe 3-5 encampments, so they were taking up a lot of space, and as a single, it's weird going in close to those tight knit groups. I am just not so sure about driving across the grass. This thing is pretty expensive to repair. Maybe June is lighter use than July, but it seemed that Panguitch is teeming with ATVers, the park I was at, a loose knit group that appears to travel together, all with ATVs, spends all summer there riding the trails. It seemed like big groups with ATVs everywhere.
