VA13FEH Mercedes Van Highters Heath, Birmingham nearly having a head on collision. (Description.)
Mercedes Sprinter - Birmingham - Chesterfield - Manchester
This is my first run since collecting my van from the workshop yesterday Thursday 15th April 2010 after having a replacement head gasket... We have 3 drops to ...
@Paintheshed Thanks and yes I suppose I do, but I also enjoy documenting my
travels via video, hence YouTube. If you scroll down my uploaded videos, at
some point you will see a video called "My camera My equipment" on this
film you will see everything at my disposal that I can and do use as and
when situations permit... In your chosen field I would recommend a tripod
as being of utmost importance. You can live with poor quality images at
times providing the picture is solid and unshakable...
@UKTruckJourneys Ha Ha.. I was smiling when I was making this, thought of
you at the time. Was a great first journey for me after head gasket job,
plus the sun was out if force. I just had to stop and take in your back
garden... Awesome sight !! I actually filmed more footage passing along
your local roads, but chopped it out to make room for everything else. I
too enjoyed this journey very much, as Friday runs go, this was superb.
Cheers Ian :-))
Having met you Paul, and you explaining how you filmed this material, it
increases the enjoyment factor of watching the best of it's kind on
YouTube...technically perfect, full of subtle humour, and a fine
demonstration of the art of producing videos of this high quality. I share
your obvious delight at getting back to normal with your trusted
steed....keep safe...Bob
@scarletshaz Yes its great to be back, and such a gorgeous day to kick off
with too. I like Chesterfield, just a shame I didn't have to travel through
the town centre and show more of it, never mind, the rolling countryside
was a pure joy to be out in. I just love my job on days like these...
Thanks for the vote, I quite like the music myself... :-))
Fab video Paul, good to see you back on the road again,i have missed your
video's it is great traveling about the country with you driving of course.
You had some cracking weather on that day as well. I was out and about on
Saturday, took the NYMR steam train from Whitby to Pickering got some great
footage posting it up soon..............John
@matt4270 This is some of the best countryside scenery around in England,
the views and rolling landscape, especially on a warm sunny day are
spectacular. We don't have to drive too far either in order to get access
to it all. I love my job on days such as this, its just great to be free
and out there... Thanks for watching. :-)
@DIANEK1960 Thats the trouble in my job, seeing all these places, which are
very tempting, but I just dont have the spare time to be able to stop and
look around. I will try and make mental notes sometimes, with a view to
going back when Im not working, but I never do... Maybe one of the days....
Thanks for watching :-))
@JONTEJOY Hello Jonas, yes the Church spire is indeed crooked, rumour has
it, should a virgin get married in this church the spire will straighten
back up... ha ha Glad you enjoyed some of England's finest countryside...
Lots of very nice buildings, Pubs, and bridges to see, plus the rolling
landscape... Paul :-)
@Jobergg I thought exactly the same thing when I spotted them. I saw a
Ruston Bucyrus and what looked like a "Priestman" I think. I really would
have liked a look around myself, was a bit like a graveyard for cranes...
Yes I came a cross some really beautiful structures, not like today, all in
concrete.
@AdrianMK3 Thanks for the nice comments, your right the repairs weren't
cheap but a necessary evil in my game unfortunately. Great to be back on
the road though, and what a gorgeous day to kick off with, across some
fantastic countryside too. Glad you enjoyed your ride. :-))
@johnwood57 Cheers John, it feels good to be back, and yes what a gorgeous
day to kick off with. The sights were stunning in parts, the pubs were
plentiful too, just wished I could have stopped at a few ... ha ha. Look
forward to your new uploads... :-)
@zombiebarricade71 Yes on this particular road we get to see lots of very
nice buildings and bridges with fantastic views of the countryside. Yes
thumbs up the Sprinter was sounding very good and not losing any more
water... ha ha Danke Ralf
I thought the music was familiar as I know St.Germain very well done vid
and I envy you being able to travel as you do. I am a million miles away
from there and for a few minutes I feel like I am at home. Thanks very much
for that!!
@multivan2001 Hello Nils. good to see you return, good holiday I hope? It
is said if a virgin gets married in that church the spire will straighten
back up... ha ha I think this music is very nice too. Many thanks Paul :-)
Thanks for watching and commenting, nice to know I've been so close eh?
Haven't done that journey since this video. Remember this day well too,
