my dad and brother in law built a 66 biscayne on a 79 powerwagon running
gear on 40'' gumbo monster mudders w/360/4spd it was awesome then a

+Emmet Apparently there is a lot you don't know. You can learn about your vehicles by first learning how to change the oil. Go on from there. All the 4x4 conversion stuff would have fit right on another van and was worth about 4 grand or more. I should know, I just had a 4x4 conversion done by a "professional" shop. I been fixing it ever since. It's almost respectable now.

unfortunately, I sent it to the scrapyard-rust, electrical and transmission issues would have cost more to fix than it was worth :(

4wd was not engaged, it is selectable. When he managed to get it unstuck he put it in 4wd. 4wd and Awd are two different things.
