As devils advocate one could say the reliability of SOME people with guns can seriously be questioned, especially with a heightened sense of duty and patriotism. You add to that someone with very limited common sense and you could potentially have an absolute disaster. You could also have a scenario where a legit confrontation takes place, and the damage of an untrained marksman unloading an assault rifle with 30+ rounds would lay waste to civilians and all. If however that is not the intent behind the message I think something like this could only create division between recruiters and their leaders if they feel there is actually no effort made to protect them. But assuming that recruiters are the most indoctrinated, maybe that's unlikely. You know, taken out of the undeniable fact that there are forces against armed patriots context, this actually makes logical sense. This seems blown out of proportion.

+Mike Donner Well, one of these heroes shot himself in the foot while standing guard. No matter what these guys like to say, they may be able to shoot the center out of a poker chip at 300 yards, but it all goes to hell when someone starts shooting. I'm sure the guys at each post know each other, but what about Johnny Rebel fillin up his pick-up across the street? He hears shots and runs over to git the bad guy, one of the heroes opens up on him.
