Ms. China had potentials. but she should've been aware of time constraints. she's already limited with her english, so she should've just answered directly. anyway, she already has a fun, amiable personality, there was no need to extend every answer with flowery words to win the audience or the judges. had she only answered, "blush? right now."---that would've been a winning answer already or she could've been 1st runner up. later, Ms. Russia was dethroned. China could've been Ms. Universe.

oh china, china… you could've made it. question: what makes you blush? china: "blush?" then cutely giggles. "right now." if she just stopped there, that would've been the shortest three-worded, most honest, most adorable and perfect answer in MU history. if she just didn't say anything anymore ("when i was… when i was… and i think… and i think...), she would've probably cliched a higher placement or even 1st runner-up.

The best answer: China!! She was very spontaneous. South Africa was just ok, too rehearsed. Venezuela and Panama answered the same...boring. Russia: whatever she said she´d win, so whatever.

You mean I was correct initially and I didn't know? LOL. Thanks for the information. Actually the reason why I said Natalie was of Russian descent was because she was born in Russia. I never new that there were people called ethnic Russians until quite recently when I was researching Yelena Isinbayeva - the Russian world record holder in women's pole vaulting(and one of my favorite athletes) on Wikipedia and learned that her mother is ethnic Russian and her father is Tabasaran.

@giocurve You're right she is definitely the prettiest Miss Universe ever. But then again she is Russian. Most Russian women are very pretty (especially the brunettes lol). Have you ever seen photos of Miss Universe 2005 Natalie Glebova ? Well she's actually a Canadian of RUSSIAN DESCENT. Hence the surname. She to me will probably be 2nd on my list of prettiest Miss Universes ever. It's a pity though that Oxana got fired by Mr. Trump before her reign ended though.

Actually, ladybaikal is wrong, Natalia Glebova is of Russian descent indeed. Because ~70-75% of Tuapse inhabitants are ethnic Russians. North Caucasus is very multicultural. For example, in such North-Caucasian Regions like Сhechnya, Dagestan, Ingushetia and some other Russian people are ethnic minority (percentage of Russian people is less than 3%), in North Ossetia–Alania percentage of Russian people are 20%.

Well, I'm sorry, but Natalia Glebova is of Russian descent. ~70-75% of Tuapse inhabitants are ethnic Russians. Yes, the town is located in North Caucasus (around Black Sea), but Krasnodar and Stavropol Regions in North Caucasus are predominantly Russian. And she has a Russian surname and appearanse, but not Caucasian (I'm Russian, so I understand these things better). So, she is a Russian Slavic beauty.

So that would also include the post-Soviet states of Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan right? But what I can't seem to understand is that in the West they tend to refer any white person as "Caucasian."

And population of Krasnodar and Stavropol Regions are predominantly Russian (~80-88%). N. Glebova's surname is Russian, not Caucasian obviously. Just like N. Glebova's appearance is Russian (Slavic). Caucasian people look like Turkish people more. (P.S. I'm Russian by the way, and I've been in Tuapse ;))

@senorsalazar She is a Canadian, but not Russian Descent. She was born in Russian in the city of the Tuapse. Which is located in the Black Sea region. Later she moved to Canada where she studied in University in Toronto.

O unico problema é que ela não é Miss Universo 2002, como diz a legenda. O mais correto seria A Miss Universo destronada Oxana Fedorova.. Tbém creio que os videos ficariam mais interessantes se fossem como o da Margareta Arvidsson, com várias fotos mudando e não sempre a mesma imagem. Assim, a pessoa olha dez segundos e muda de canal. Oxana foi eleita a Miss Universe 2002, por sua beleza e competencia, entregou a coroa porque preferiu a sua carreira, tudo que a Organizaciom do Miss Universe tentou para manchar a sua imangem era mentira. All along I thought that the Miss Universe pageant is about the celebration of woman kind and will support its participants/winners in the persuit of upgrading themselves and their achievements. To fire Oxana because she chose to carry-on with her education sends the wrong signal to impressionable young ladies all over the world. Its a shame. Oxana, you made the right decision and will always be a good example to all ladies out there. I wish you well.

I think she didn't want to win and didn't expect to win at all and probably had planned to get married after the pageant but I think as a responsible person she should continue her reign till the end, I am sure the boyfriend can wait for a year unless she maybe she got "pregnant" during her reign. She is much beautiful than Miss Panama.

She gave up her crown because she decided to marry the man of her life and have a child with him over being a Miss Universe for a year. It's a really important decision and I'm sure she took the right one. As to if she was pregnant during the competition I highly doubt it but nobody but her can really tell!

She was pregnant after she married. But what everyone else says is true: she was dethroned since she was not doing what she needed to do. It's sad. She was the most beautiful MU ever, although MU 2004, 2005, 2006 and Justine Pasek are tied to that position, in my opinion.

Amparo Muñoz of Spain is the most beautiful Miss Universe of all time. If we see her face at that time she won the crown in 1974, we can definetely say she is the prettiest of all even if we compare that to these present days. She was like a living doll despite of the fact that plastic surgery was not being used then commonly. As she got older, her face changed, but if we see her face when she was twenty years old, she is undoubtedly the prettiest and most graceful beauty of all time.

ES MUY CLARA, sin duda, que Amparo Muñoz DE ESPAÑA que ganó el Miss Universo en 1974 ES LA MAS BELLA MISS UNIVERSO DE TODOS LOS TIEMPOS. I always recognize that alicia machado is the most beautiful miss universe so far but i dot think so that riyo is on the list..haller, there are 5 miss universe winners and runners up that's more beautiful than her. Oxana Federova is not beautiful, she only have a great body.
