I know! he was looking pretty hard for one. he found a couple but waited
too long and they sold. Bid for one on ebay but it went too high, then he
put an ad in this old autos ad and this guy from Toronto said he had one
and would only sell it if my dad was interested!! otherwise, he was going
to keep it. he is so lucky, it's all original tooo! I'm going to upload
more videos now so keep watching
Like those 390's. Just remeber whe you have to rebuild them that you do the
oil flow improvement. The 390 had a bad setup in the original condition.
Have to lineup the bearings with the holes in the block and drill. Also
open the hole with the oil pickup.
There's something about a 390. My dad had a 61 ford short bed straight side
with a 68 GT390/ 320 HP that would wrap the spedo around in seconds. I't
was great,
This is a "walk around" video of my 1967 Fairlane.

Beautiful car! 289 c.i. engine, great simplicity of the design. I always liked the curve of the roof and the general uncluttered look of the car. The interior is great ...
Hey, Jack ! This is beautiful car, I always liked these, I always thought
they were in the Thunderbird's shadow a bit though and never really got the
recognition they deserved until recently :) They always will be one of my
personal favorites of this period though, and with the 289 from the Mustang
under the hood, makes this one even more appealing :D
@drewerz01 Hey, Mike! I always liked the Fairlane/Torino body style..really
smooth, uncluttered interior and exterior. The reliable mechanicals were
icing on the cake! Thanks! :) Jack
@k73mrviking Cool you have one in the family! Probably most were equipped
with the 390 as a performance engine...this one should be a bit easier on
the gas. Thanks! :) Jack
