When did MOVIE GREATS NETWORK become BEST PICTURE SHOW? I know MGN very
well from overnights on KYW-TV 3 Philadelphia when I was a kid. Then it
resurfaced on WGTW Ch.48 in early 90's. I only remember seeing BPS back in
August '95 over my grandfather's house one Sunday afternoon. I only knew
ties to MGN when recognizing voiceover from late 80's. Then, I worked at
WGTW from Aug '03 to Dec '04 where our movie library consisted of BPS
movies. And even after BPS was no longer being syndicated, we'd sometimes
air those movies with BPS opening and bumpers left on (but not the
commercials obviously).

+Nanoforge1 I thought it was cool watching regular commercials in the middle of the night instead of wacked out 1-800 ones or local commercials, or PSA's especially.

+LaurenLover81 It was overnight on a weeknight. They were the late night movies of the channel. I remember watching Overdrawn At The Memory Bank and another movie called Caribe.

+Daniel Quintanilla Wish I could answer your questions. You are very knowledgeable about MGN and BPS. I only know them as having shown movies on a local D.C. affiliate back in the early 90's.

I'll totally trade you places haha. Everything is covered here, and roads
are icy. Temperatures are only going as high of maybe 10 degrees if lucky,

nah, wasnt bad, we barely got any snow at all, but we did get about 24 hours of sleet.... its all about melted away now
