Cuillins Sunset Seascape: An oil painting time lapse demo
//scottnaismith.co.uk This is a time lapse oil painting demonstration by Scottish landscape artist and lecturer Scott Naismith. This sunset seascape painting is ...
I explain at the start of the demo that the live painting will be put up on
my channel. It is there in 4 parts. As you can see from number of views and
'likes' people generally must find the real time stuff a little slow! Total
time spent on this is upwards of 4 hours so I don't think that would be
edge of your seat stuff.
Thank you! High speed time lapse is awesome. Real time is 1) too slow and
2) the artist always seems the feel the need to cram every moment with
talking about nothing, as if they are auditioning to be the next star on
the food channel.
While your website is lovely and full of spangles it may or may not be of
interest that if you live in the middle of nowhere and therefore with a
very slow connection, as I do, it's pretty much impossible to use.
This is brilliant - I'm an artist living in the Highlands, just a short
ferry ride from Skye, need to come over to paint there as scenery is
amazing, very dramatic and you capture it well:)
@suztexas I do have a photo reference in order to get the exact shape of
the mountains. I explain some of this in the full demo film which I hope to
have available soon.

Glasgow Time-lapse - Sunset over river Clyde
My first ever youtube movie. This is a time-lapse out of my hotel room with the sunset over the river Clyde - in preparation for the UKSG conference. Shame about ...
I'm doing all sorts of time-shifted video now... Time lapse using a Canon
5S and SX10 to speed things up, and a Canon HF100 camcorder and Casio Ex-F1
DSC to slow things down. The 5S is no longer in production, SX10 goes for
about $380, the HF100 $500, and the Casio Ex-F1 about $800. These are just
consumer-level cameras... I can see where you could spend a TON of money on
this stuff if you were to go to professional/commercial-grade equipment! :-O
