@Turbo88Coupe1 good for you not only are you learning how to kill people
with synthetic medicine, you actually felt the need to blast your education
level over youtube , how sad. What I posted does make sense, just because
it didn't for you doesn't mean anything but the mere fact that you didn't
get it LOL. And a 6 year pharma student claiming what I do or do not know
in racing, can you shit over logic more or are you just this dumb? I get it
now, a kid who loves mustang got butt hurt how cute
@xxxxdarksidexxxx "i said to myself 302, supercharges, foxbody ..." Thats
YOUR words and i'm 6 years into a doctorate in pharmacy, i think im doing
okay in school. Try posting things that make sense to people, other than
what goes on in your head.. and if you knew shit about racing you would say
the car wieghts about 3200 lbs and the car most likely makes upwards of 550
therefore it will run a 10.4-10.5 w/o driver error and converter/clutch
slippage, "goddam boy everybody know dat" - joe dirt
Original T-45??? My original T-45 wasnt up to handling my 97 cobra original
305 factory hp. I know Tremec made a new version of the T-45 mid way
through 98 becuase the the earlier Borg Warner versions were crap as i have
stated. Still Its hard to believe even that would stand up to that kind of
abuse.
it takes a lot to make 10's. at least 500hp to the wheels. given that
ferraris have that kind of power for 300k i think this guy did pretty good
for a 4.6 7k mustang with less cylinders on fairly low boost seeing as a
4.6 can run 8lbs stock. so ya. don't hate.. appreciate. lol
"That thing took off pretty good" ?!?! C'mon Herring - that thing FREAKING
LAUNCHED and smoked you guys by a second and a half!! That E85 is some
wicked stuff - 105 octane and probably a buck a gallon cheaper than 91
octane 'premium' gas. Good job Steve!
These GM guys are always thinking the Mustangs are slower than they are.
Then they always think anything GM is faster than it is. Typical. There's
another video when they were off by 2+ seconds and another where they're
off by over 4 seconds. Pretty sad.
Why does Ken Herring act as if he is the gift to that show? Half of the
time the contestants themselves are more entertaining and put more effort
into it than he does! They need a new "resident expert" for better
ratings.....
Evidently these bastards don't know much about live-axle cars. Solid rear
axle, 3.73s, + skinnies & tire = WICKED drag performance! I guessed 11.50
at 120ish. I was way off too. This less than attractive Mustang is the s**t!
@Turbo88Coupe1 I never said it was either of those, what I said was to
myself which allowed me to guess around the around the correct time. Stop
ditching english class in your public enslavement camp aka school.
@switchgrassfuel Well, then, you sir are a total dick! Count me jealous
over here in Northern California, where 91* Octane is supposed to be some
kind of treat?? WTF? I guessed 10.90's too, props to that driver.
I'm a chevy guy, but I really have to hand it to the Ford guy's With a
turbo, there are very few that can touch them on the street. If I had a
chance to race one, the first thing I would ask is Got a turbo"???
i said to myself 302, supercharges 15psi, fox body it'll go 10.5 @ 130's, I
was close! Looks like a 11 or 12 second runner but 15 psi on a v8
supercharger tells the story alone am I missing something here?
@ngiotta They just guessing times they think the car will run. It is not
like they will be perfect. It is all about what the driver/owner tells them
when they ask them questions.
WOW did i miss something in the video its a 4.6 sn95 version2 not a foxbody
or a freakin 302 jesus christ btw u should just leave comments if u know
wut ur talking about
Sugar cane actually makes the best Ethanol, we need to get on that sugar
cane juice, the Brazilians have more than half their street cars running
straight alcohol.
Todd says 11.99 worth while laughing , Herring says...Gonna have to hook up
for his 11.95 These guys crack me up. That Mustang just blew them all
away!!!!
if ur saying they thought it was another slow home built mustang you might
be right, but Ken is almost always on point.

Just traction is limited when you have heaps of horsepower to the rear, and your tires arent sticking correctly/sticking at all. I know 200+ kw isnt that much for a car, but for a car this light, this small well then its alot especially with 25+pound boost.
Ahh man my first car was a TD Gemini, it was such a sick little car, Like a
shrunken, lighter, better Commodore, and so cheap to Mod. Mine was putting
out 215 RWHP at the time my ex GF pulled out into the path of a speeding
Skip bin truck.... It was a sad day. And the bitch didn't even get
injured... Cunt.

Can someone tell me why you would run a sohc over dohc?
Does it really matter, or is it personal preference. Is it the same deal as
the the rb30 dohc and sohc?
+quinnjohn1Its not a cost issue. A good running twin cam engine can be picked up as a base for $200 from every wrecker in the country, valves cost sweet fuck all as does 1 extra camshaft, it would literally be nothing relative to the cost of build for this car. Also having enough torque is at the bottom of the list of problems for any of these engines, its just the way this car was developed not to mention some people love sticking with sohc heads.
These days with modern management systems I think it is more of a cost issue than a performance one, 2 camshafts and 24 valves will be more expensive than 1 camshaft and 12 valves. In the '90's (not as advanced management) when dohc first started to become more common place here in the UK, a dohc engine gave better top end performance and economy but sohc engines could give better low end torque. The Ford CVH and zetec engines are a good example of this. A CVH (sohc 8 valve) head could be modified to fit a zetec (dohc 16 valve) bottom end. People would put the CVH head (usually when wanting to run a turbo) on the zetec block and that would give much better torque figures than just turboing the complete zetec. A magazine (either Fast Ford, Fast Car or Performance Ford mag) did a direct comparison, same block, same turbo, same injectors etc but with the different heads and the full zetec turbo gave about 10% more peak BHP but the CVH head gave about 12% better torque for the same fuel flow and boost pressure. The Zetec performed better everywhere above 4500 rpm on their dyno tests.

All those horses and a tons of money can produce only 85mph?? Can't stop
laughing... lol
Can't believe that, people willing to pay that much money what is this boat
cost. My buddy single engine boat makes 78mph and it cost 23K, and it looks
amazing.
