I understand there are plenty of questions about the legality of
ride-sharing. But why is it so personal to you that you have OUT the
drivers by name and license plate??
+Frank Sileeni Any taxi driver who violates traffic laws is subject to the exact same scrutiny. more so since most now use CAMERAS in their vehicles. For uber, which is entirely uninsured, this is utter bullshit to drive like morons and threaten other drivers/pedestrians.

WTF is Up With Uber?
What are they thinking over at Uber? (From our Friday, November 21, 2014 show) This clip from the Majority Report, live M-F at 12 noon EST and via daily ...
1. Uber is a threat to public transport (unions).
2. Sam likes sucking up to corrupt & lazy unions, who don't like
competition.
3. Sam bashes Uber (on racial grounds??) in order to suck up to the unions.
AKA "scratch my back, and I'll scratch your back"
You've read this comment, and now you are smarter.
Sorry for using facts, as your media advisor I advise you to stop talking out of your arse.Which century do you live in that unions control public transport?
+circleofshame the unions control the public transport system, hence my use of the "=" symbol. If you want to be my media advisor and nitpick me on semantics - then I'm not interested.
+circleofshame you questioned the link between public transport & unions. I gave you the link to the NY public sector union.Much like everything that's prefixed with 'pubic', the customer is a much lower priority than in a 'private' system. That's why for example Obama sends his girls to a non-unionised private school, and so do most senior Democrats.
Noticing a lot of left wing hate toward Uber lately. I'm going to get to
the bottom of it to n understand why. I am going to take a wild guess
though and say that it's 100% political. Liberals would destroy any company
in the world no matter how great the service they provide is if it's top
execs don't vote D
Here is where you would have a problem trying to prove that a uber driver
is doing something illegal.
1. Taxi services need to be licensed because they are seen as a city
transportation service.
As where uber is a ride share technology and you the driver use your own
personal vehicle to pick up riders through the uber app leaving your
vehicle outside the realm of any commercial transportation that they can
not regulate by the city through any such legal means because it is use of
a personal vehicle through a form of technology and the city has no
regulated laws for license or permit for ride share technology drivers.
2. Plus taxi services, buses and limo services are a form of C corp or S
Corp meaning they're companies with government regulations and are in the
business of hiring hiring drivers to work for them. Where the uberX driver
is a Sole Proprietorship needing little government regulation where you the
individual are working for yourself in your personal vehicle through usage
of a form of technology that the city cannot regulate until they have
mandated laws put into place for ride share technology and it's drivers
drivers.
This give ride share driver the ability to file lawsuits against the city
for illegal tickets or such penalties filed by the city and illegally
categorizing rideshare drivers as city transportation drivers where the
city has no legal right to do so because the two are not the same.
Stupid all cab driver are tested like background and drug test and then you
as UBER driver should have all the stickers of the county's you work in
like taxi...then price should be the same because it is through the city,
then yes you want to operate
YES YOU CAN
OTHERWISE ITS SHOULD BE BANED
