Are you sure the band is Savuka? I have Juluka album with this song on it, and I think it's the same version. Great song either way, of course.

this is the Savuka version, the Juluka version sounds earthier, more bare bones with a greater emphasis on the drums.

@gondoguru closest we got was the "impi" inspired wimpy add. We could have had so many brilliant artists do the world cup song, Jaluka; ladysmith black mambaza; even artists like mandoza; HHP; jack parow; JR and SkwattaKamp; but nope, "shakira" is hot and famous so real South Africans with real talent didn't even stand a chance. Pity Mirriem Makebe, Lebo Matosha and gito Baloi aren't with us, they would be other great arists that never got a chance. but atleast we south africans know what's good

you can actually see this guys love and passion for his music and what it stands for. it sends shivers up my spine and warms my heart so much. Mirrium Makebe, lebo matosha, brensa fassie and gito Baloi are no longer with us but the spirrit of African music will never die or change for the pop charts. Even with poes faces like locnville out there, the people wont be fooled

Unreal to see this on youtube. Song was I think written for the Mainstay Cup soccer competition in RSA. Been a fan since the late 70's, still am. Had it in my car CD player this week, reminds me of my life in SA, time spent in SWA (Namibia)...awesome!

I love how Africans always embraced Johnny Clegg(white guy in the band) as their own. This is who we are in Africa, we welcome everyone, but it's obviusly Europeans used that to their advantage:(( Love love love the Zulu victory dance @ 2:50 :))
