Internet Direct vs Retail Speaker Companies: Best Value?
//www.audioholics.com - Internet Direct vs Brick & Mortar Retail: Which Offers The Best Value? Internet direct (ID) speaker manufacturers have been all the ...
+Audioholics I would like to hear your review on the Triton 5`s if you get them as well .Outstanding speaker! They took a little of the technology they learned form the ones ,interested to hear your take on them.
+AudioholicsBought a pair of Hsu HRSW12s subs back around 1992 and enjoyed them for over 20 years, Just two months back I got a complete Hsu 5.1 system with the STF2 powered sub and couldn't be more pleased. Dr Hsu has been designing the very best possible products and offering them at very reasonable prices from his digs in Southern California for 25 years now. A graduate of MIT he's a very top subwoofer design engineer dedicated to offering the best value products available. I can't recommend them more highly.Sal
Do you think the PB-1000 is a lot better than the Premier Acoustic PA-150 ? Or is it only a little bit better, I am in the hunt for another sub. Thanks guys for your input
+Howard Rodgers Howard -- thank you very much for the suggestion. I will look into that. Passive crossovers always have difficulty as they heat up and degrade over the years.
+Todd Dembsky Just a suggestion. As an alternative to formal crossover calculations, you could get a crossover box by Vidsonix. This will allow you to dial up a crossover for the drivers you're using that are pleasing to your ear in your particular environment and audio setup. Personally, I think this is far more important than what seems to look good on paper, but doesn't sound right when actually put into practice.
+Howard Rodgers Thank you, I can do a lot of modeling, but the models are in no way any indication of how the speaker will sound. But it is fun to say -- "I made that" and put an EQ inline to fix the issues that always crop up with room dynamics. I just love the science and the feel of cutting wood, or particle board and soldering a couple of bunches of wires to a breadboard and make the darn thing make sound (noise) :-)
+Howard Rodgers Thumbs up -- I agree with that -- that is why when I used to purchase speakers from big box stores I would always flatten the EQ, turn down or off the sub, and bring my oun CD's with music I was very familiar with. Then I would take the speakers home and test them for 5 to 7 days in my home. The only place the sound of a speaker matters is in your ears in your house. I have given up on shopping for speakers in Big Box stores as the kid in Car Audio has the bass at 60 hrz at 100db -- cannot hear diddle in the listening room. I have gone to designing and building my own speakers which is not the best way of getting speakers as by the time you are done with the speaker build -- you will "will" it to sound good even if it sounds like the 1970 crystal AM radio kit that you hid under your pillow to listen to the radio at night :-)
+Todd Dembsky I also hear you and that's a really good point. However, after owning retail A/V stores, We've learned the tricks that dealers' oftenuse to make the speaker line they're pushing sound great. Some of theseinclude: acoustical treatment of sound rooms, choice of source material thatfavors the speakers, positioning and matchingof the other audio components. Also, it's now very difficult to find retailstores that may carry every speaker you're interested in hearing. So, we feelthe best place to evaluate a speaker is in your home with your acoustics, equipment, and source material. That's as long as you're dealing with a companythat will treat you well, even if you decide to return the speakers.
+Todd Dembsky I hear you hence why it's important to select a company with a good demo and return policy. It's hard to find local dealers these days that will carry the speaker you're looking for let alone having a good listening room for a proper demo.

Trade in Confidential Information by Internet Companies
Trade in confidential information by internet companies. The revelations of espionages of the USA are creating problems for their companions of piracy of State.
The tendency is to seek interactivity, this happened on TV, and is
increasing more and more. And later went to the phones, and even in the
door-pictures. But in politics, where there should be a more interactive
with the people, because it interferes directly in the lives of many, this
interaction is in decline, is ending. I believe that donations to political
candidates should be banned, because it is actually a purchase using an
advance payment, in the form of a bet.
95% of the top politicans in the uk are rich privatly educated people
anyway, there just stealing more money, then they use the money for insider
trading to get more rich. If you really care about the situation in any
given country, why does anyone want paying to implement justice?when you
accept the money you are being corrupted by the people giving, namely
people wanting to avoid tax or people wanting to control the markets, it
stinks and democracy it is far from.
To be honest i think we are all governed by bandits in one shape or form,
its not like they ask us about foreign pollicy or things that could get us
all killed.
