After 8 years I decided that I wanted to start collecting and playing again, so I bought a couple packs and a trainer kit to drag my girlfriend with me hahahah and the first pack she opened we got an AggronX from the Primal Clash set. +Sparkz HD Welcome to the world of collectibles. Rare items become inflated in price, as time goes on, finding mint versions becomes harder, so prices increase. Look at artwork of famous painters, 9/10 times the painting itself is crap. but its price tag can be in the millions.. but as always, it's only worth what someone is willing to pay, prices can and do decrease, when Pokemon finally dies off as a franchise the collectors will be selling to cut losses.

Most EX cards are about $5 now. The market has been flooded lately with EX cards. Some exceptions exist. Highly popular Pokemon, for example, sell for more. Pikachu EX is now going for $25.

Pokémon cards aren't worth that much unless you are talking about older base set cards. The new break cards which you would think would be worth something aren't worth anything because they made the rarity of them too common.

Some of the newer cards are worth a fair amount, especially the ones prevalent in the TCG, and I would say the oldest cards really aren't worth much just because so many people have them, unless you have 1st edition ones, unfortunately they're only worth a few dollars a piece.
