i've just bought mine ..from executive shaving but with the colosas handle
, i'm assuming being a low head in height i should be able to tackle my
nose for once ! Did you also know att also do stands? but they are not
sourceable in europe only the u.s
+technicaly brilliant Nice. No I did not know that, but then my space is limited already with all the stuff I got, so not every razor gets a stand hehe.
I bought the Phoenix DOC and I'm absolutely in love with that razor. How
would you compare the Phoenix DOC to the ATT S1 as far as the shave itself
goes? Also, I've been waiting for you to say "get to the choppah"..thank
you! I saw that on your latest video with your top splashes. That was
awesome!
+Alan Andresen Thanks. Well they are two totally different razors in their approach of how they do it. However both are very mild, but still very efficient. I would give the S1 a slight edge in efficiency and the DOC is slightly better when you do "buffing" (aka go over the same spot a few times without re-lather). Both are great razors. Of course the S1 has the edge when it comes to quality. It is stainless steel perfection. Not that the DOC is bad, but you cannot beat minimal tolerance machined stainless steel...
Thanks for the review. I've spent the best part of my Sunday watching
reviews on slant razors trying to decide between the Merkur,
Ikon, Razorock, & ATT. The ATT might be the one for me. Thanks.
I would actually say that the S1 is a tad milder even. But I think that is mostly due to the design of the Stealth giving a little more slack to the blade, which is actually wanted in the prototypes by Joe. So it would have to be retested if he ever releases a version.
+Alan Andresen I'm curious to find out which razor feels safer to you. Which one gives you the less irritation if you really aren't paying attention and go over areas of your face without lather on it, perhaps even buff the hard to get areas, etc. The Razorock Stealth Slant or the ATT S1? Thank you!
I bought the att s1 and I noticed that the blade does not stick out evenly
across the safety bar it sticks out more on oneend on each si8de is that
normal? Please let me know
ATT S1 in the video and my take on its flawless design. Of course this is my interpretation and my subjective views on things and I am in no way in contact with ...
Hi there, can you tell me how aggresive the s1 is or isnt maybe compare it
to another razor in terms of aggresion, ive had my eye on an above the tie
since i bought an ikon razor because to be honest i was a little
dissapointed in the overall finish of my ikon i expected more.
+Portus1888 Well the S1 is pretty mild in feeling. However it feels different as other mild razors. So I guess you could say it is as mild as a typical Edwin Jagger or Razorock Mission, however the face feel is different and it is much more efficient. Of course feeling is also a bit subjective, but that are my impressions. Finish on mine is flawless and ATT will take back the razor or exchange it if you are not satisfied.
If you're referring to "Steve the dailyshaver" video i must say you should
NOT take that crazy guy's words seriously. He seems a bit crazy. I have
some of the products that he reviews and every time he complains about
something I go back and check out the product and realize he is just crazy.
Plus he talks non stop. Sometimes i wish my fist could reach his face
through the computer monitor so he could shut the F up and just shave!
+Bob Hill Yeah me too, I do not know how, but some people seem to have problems... no worries very cool video incoming tomorrow.
Irish / Scottish fiddle at Heinhold's Pub in Oakland, video by Triple Spiral Productions
J.O.Forbes of Corse / St. Anne's Reel performed by Brian Theriault and Skip henderson at Historic Oakland Pub, Heinhold's First and Last Chance. Both Brian ...
@333spiral - oh, you can play any of them in an Irish way (though it'd be a
bit of a shame as Scottish, Cape Breton, and French-Canadian are all truly
lovely styles and I wish i could play in any of them) -- also, I'm not
personally sure if it's French-Canadian, or Cape Breton (I've been told
"definitively" both), so I'm not going to go round telling people it's one
or the other. :) Brian and Skip play them lovely nonetheless! Nice vid, btw!
Interesting is that the music, a violin and an accordion, sounds the same
as it would have sounded 100-500 years ago, before the internet, before the
radio, before the phonograph, before electricity was available. Live music
was the only way you could hear music.
@zinalee Thanks...it's hard enough to get these guys to sit in one place
for a video on the morning after Quinn's, much less have them tell me the
history of the tune, although I suspect they would surrender to the latter
easier than doing another of the former. :)
@zinalee Thanks for the correction.....Although one of them is Scottish,
what would be EVEN better than pointing out the impropriety of the title,
is telling folks that it (St. Anne's Reel) is of French-Canadian origin. :)
Wonderful melody played by two very talented musicians in the very classy
and historic First and Last Chance Saloon where everyone is welcome and
there is no dress code. Would like to hear more songs from these two.
Really great job on this, indeed! I just about got J.O. Forbes figured out
on my fiddle, with much thanks to you both. Any chance for more videos?
Again, thanks!
