@TheDejael I wonder that myself, and it seems very polished for a 1950's
airport recording in that they got the aircraft sound pretty good, but it
must have took many tries with recording level adjustments, mic

I'm sure they were using all the latest analog recording equipment like
they did for Hollywood movies, and if you listen to it with a good home
theater system, it sounds like surround sound for a movie.
I Love this album! I bought it new in 1960 when I was 13, it was my first
Stereo album and I still have it, preserved in pristine condition! What a
great classic Stereo sampler album!
This recording actually sounds like it was taken off the soundtrack from a
Hollywood movie. You can hear the PA system announcer as he announces
Eastern Airlines flights.

Actually now that I think about it, that's a Beechcraft 1900D if you look
at the wing. DL Connection never flew Beech 1900D's. Therefore it is US
Airways Express coming from MCI.
