What happens when you strap a homemade rocket to a bicycle? Jeremy Clarkson puts his backside on the line to reveal all! Great clip taken from the BBC series ...
+Chris P. Bacon eh so just because a bunch of people called something something it becomes fact ? lol ok and you got it the wrong way round they called rockets jet propulsion they dont have a rocket propulsion lab working on jet engines lol
+Leif Vejby Quite right. If the engine is deriving its oxidizer from air, it is by definition not a rocket. A rocket engine supplies its own solid or liquid oxidizer.
Just redesign it with todays technology whats so hard about that! it works
and works very well! and get another 25years of service out of it and piss
the F-35 back to the USA! cheers
+Wheels65 F-35 Sucks it really does. It wasn't meant for dogfights it was a F/A aircraft (Fighter/Attacker). The point was it was not to go bloody head to head with a Russian SU-27 or a MiG. The F-35 is almost a Harrier only because it can VTOL(Vertical Takeoff or Land). The Americans like precision stuff, not like the Russians who in WW2 had close range hand to hand combat with the Germans in places like StalinGrad. So even if the F-35 is slow, it is balanced by long range missiles and a accurate system for Ground attack roles
+camer81 tough to say because the F-35 is almost twice as fast and literally twice as powerful, radar reflecting style body, and so far, more reliable with the most powerful afterburning engine in the world: the Pratt and Whitney F135 with 43,000 lbs of thrust, and it's quieter than the Harrier's engine which is the Rolls Royce Pegasus
+camer81 It would be great to have the Harriers back and since I'm American I would like the F-18 Super Hornets to stay in service. However technology has moved on and we need to keep on with it. Better radar systems mean stealth capabilities with new designs, faster speeds mean the shape has to be changed, the engines have to be changed and new long range missiles systems to kill em before they get in range. So it's all very complicated. The fact that we can't just go down low and strafe the targets we'll get shot at by CIWS or SAM AA defense, so to counter that we put laser guidance system so the bombs hit the targets no matter what altitude, it's more accurate then a whole squadron of B-17 dropping it's 24 100lbs bomb onto a single factory building
+camer81 Stop judging people on which school they went to. - Too British men of all colours, creeds and classes have fallen and are buried together for that kind of shit to be still relevant to you.
+camer81this is what happens when you hand over defence responsibilities to the so called ''educational elite'' which is an ironic name for these men in the MOD as they are all incredibly stupid
+camer81 yeah, f35 needs 100 hours ground maint for every hour it spends flying in the air ....they can fuck right off

1.8 million pound? Isn't the LA Ferrari for 1 million pound? And the
Mclaren P1 and the Porche cheaper than this car? I would prefer one of
those any day.
