+Osama Khan Ok, just contacted QatarAirways here is what they said, We don't allow praying on our airplanes for security purposes. And explained more saying that there are a lot of Muslims on the airplanes that Qatar Airways operates because its a Muslim carrier. I understood that for example on a united airlines flight or a SAS flight you might be the only Muslim on board or one of the few. If Qatar Airways or Emirates allowed praying on board the galleys and exits will be very crowded. And I fly Business or First so I think thats why I was allowed because there are only 2 or 3 people usually in the cabin. :)

+Osama Khan Im actually surprised to hear that ! I was just on a flight from amma to Doha to vienna and asked to pray there cleared the galley in the back of the plane to make me pray, at the beginning the hostess was like mmmmm wait. But later i asked the cain manager and he said absolutely and cleared the kitchen for me. 

Hi Kevin,  Thank you for your comment.  After the seat belt light is turned off, I pray in either the kitchen area or in the exit row.  SAS, Lufthansa, British Airways, and United Airlines had no problem.  I ask the air hostess, "May I pray here for a few minutes?"  These airlines (by the mercy of Allah) allow us to pray.  Qatar Airways has an official policy of not allowing prayer. They told me not to pray.  I prayed anyway when they turned off the lights.  It even happened to my friend in Saudi.  He prayed while they were screaming and shouting at him.  Life is a test.  Is it too much too ask to pray so that I can thank Allah and ask forgiveness?

+Osama Khan How did you pray? As I know, people are allowed to move, walk inside the plane. Did you go to a place where no one stands front of you and started to pray? Did any offical try to prevent you?

+Nassir Sabri Yes, I prayed twice on Qatar airways.  Both times they told me not to pray.  I prayed anyway.  I asked to speak to the supervisor.  She said even the first class passengers and the crew are not allowed to stand up and pray. She said you have to keep trying to convince them to change the policy. I hope you can help us in changing the policy on Qatar Airways.

This is the response I got from them:Dear Mr. Khan,We are in receipt of your claim filed with the US Department of Transportation and the Better Business Bureau.I am investigating and will advise as soon as we have our findings.I appreciate your patience during this time.With Kind Regards,Odete CosteiraCustomer Relations [email protected] explained by our Cabin Crew of flight QR5 on October 19th for reasons of safety and security customers are not allowed to pray near the exit doors.  I am sorry for any disappointment this policy creates.
