7.4v 2S Lipo Battery Repair - Quick and Easy - [Don't Throw Your Shorted Lipos Away]
This is a fairly simple way to repair your stock 7.4v 2s Lipo battery that you may have which came with your stock mini JJRC H8C quadcopter or other r/c vehicle.
Hi there.
Do you by any chance know of a motor type that would work for the JJRC H8C
and will last for more then just a few flights?
I am tired of replacing motors every 10 flights or so...
+Jack Scarpon Unfortunately this is the downfall of the H8C... a nice powerfull 7.4v system with motors being week point. Not sure if a manufacturer has made more durable motors in this size yet sorry.
Hi Dustin,
I charge Lipo batteries with IMAX B6, but when I connect one of them 7,4V
the charger indicates 1SER and not 2SER. It means that one of the poles is
dead and only one of them is loaded?. I could fix this battery in the same
way that you show?.
You can open and check connections. Also if lipos are discharged too low they can show wrong cell count. You could try charging a little at 1s then switch to 2s and see if it sees the correct cells.
+Dustin Dunnill Dobermandan is right.Dustin, you're also right that most lipos don't have circuit boards, but most 2 or more cell lipos do have a balance plug for charging individual cells. As the battery pack ages, individual cells often degrade at different rates. When charging 2S or more in series, without balance charging, If one cell can't be charged up to 4.2v, the other cells will get overcharged (and possibly explode). So in your 7.4v lipo's case, let's say one cell goes bad and can't be charged correctly. The other cell has to take up the "slack" because the whole pack will be charged up to 8.4v, rather than each cell being charged up to 4.2v. And without a balance plug, there's no way of checking if the individual cells are balanced. So Dobermandan is not joking when he says you're risking burning down your house. This is very serious, so please do some more research if you're still not clear on it.If a 2S pack doesn't have a balance plug, then there's a very good reason it has a circuit board, and bypassing it is asking for trouble. Don't do it.
as long as you connect correctly as shown in video, the MAH does not matter. yes.

How to Replace the Circuit Board on Chamberlain Liftmaster, Sears, and Craftsman Garage Door Openers
//ddmgaragedoors.com/ When the lay-person typically sees a circuit board, they immediately seize up and think that's it's too advanced for them to fix.
Thanks a lot for this video. How can I know for sure that the circuit board
has gone bad? My sensors seem to be working because if I put my hands over
the one with the green LED light the light goes off (nothing changes if I
hold my hand over the orange one though) and I can close the door from the
wall mounted button. I do here some clicking in the box when I press the
car remote but it does not open. So it can only open from the wall mounted
switch but not the car remote. Thanks for any help.
This video saved me a ton of money! Although my Stanley was somewhat
different, it was still fairly easy to do. Your video gave me the
confidence to do it myself. I had to pay a garage door repairman $75 to
tell me that he would not fix, but replace & install an entire NEW opener
unit for $500 - $600. I found a replacement circuit board online with S & H
for about $60, so over all, I'm only out $135. Much thanks!!!!
The logic board is packaged in a an anti-static board for a reason. Unless
the exposed electronic item and the person handling it are properly
grounded, one should never touch a circuit board for risk of ESD damage.
The handling of the replacement logic board in the video is more of an
example of what not to do. Other than that, yeah, replacing the logic
board is that easy.
Dan- How can I tell if the circuit board is the problem? I just replaced
the drive gear which was worn out. The door opened once but then did not
even seem to get power to even activate the motor. When I hit the opener
button, I get a little click but that is it. Help
This is an excellent tutorial on how to change out a logic board on a
Chamberlain Liftmaster garage door opener. My opener has been giving me
fits for some time. I figured it was the logic board but it always
appeared too difficult to replace. This made the job easy.
I came here to find out how to open the housing so I can have a look at the
bulb receptacle and from the looks of things I only need to deal with the
front of the opener - in either case, nice tutorial done with calmness a
beginner like me appreciates. Thank you
My bulb on my garage door opener goes in and out it is not burned out t
bulb it is like a short in the light socket. Will replacing the circuit
board fix it
Is there a simple way to tell if your logic board is broken?
How to Repair a Circuit Board (from the top)
Sometimes you can't solder parts onto a circuit board from the bottom side. This video shows how to do it from the top, which is more difficult, but can be done.
