The song is from the Meet Joe Black OST: Whisper of a Thrill by Thomas
Newman.

Sociology is terribly left wing. Research suggest the fair majority of
social science grads (sociology, anthropology and political science) in
Uni's are borderline socialists and marxists! With the exception of
economics which is more realistic.
Sociology as a field emerged during the marxist period, unlike economics
which emerged during the 16/ 17th century during industrialization with
thinkers like Adam smith. Sociology by its very basic theory; "The
sociological Imagination", basically blames society for all individual
problems.
That form of thinking doesn't encourage personal responsibility and hard
work, it encourages entitlements from the governments. Its not far fetched
to call it left wing.
There is an underlying factor as to why people aren't pursuing responsibility and change. If I were you, I would look into how sociology can help us uncover this factor, instead of blaming the hammer for the broken nail.
Maybe so, however, sociology encourages a very intuitive and indeed imaginative form of thought. You talk about how sociology doesn't encourage responsibility and hard work. Truth is, you can use sociology to understand the reasons why people deny responsibility and embrace entitlement, you can prove this with evidence based on research and observation. You can have a conservative viewpoint with sociology, and it can bite liberals in the ass as hard as it does conservatives, especially, in my opinion, considering how flawed both political parties are.You just have to see past cultural bias. Part of what you learn in just the first chapter of introduction to sociology is how sociologists had different perspectives based on their experiences and observations. Durkheim thought very differently from Marx, for instance, and both took inspiration from Comte, one of the first sociologists. All of these people had similar forms of thinking, yet insisted on different ideals.
Question. Is a family considered one society? In the video, you said "you
find your place, where you fit in society", what if you don't fit in to
your family, is it normal not to fit in to them?
+1104Koolkat "Sociology is the science of healthy population~coexistence, and International equal humane equality, as with respect for International population freedom capacity toward realizing Earth's and Creation's Creator, via the arts of 'decision~making', further revealing true life outside of God, which signifies truelifeforms, as otherwise would signify all mere puppets, on strings, all can see why life had to be as it was that of events since the Ancient times, and is, at present, as would always be , as is the reflection nature of creation to that which created it"
Yeah I was looking for the next video and figured I'd have to download it. I will most certainly be doing that because I was completely lost and considering possibly dropping out for fear of failing. I watched the video and got SO MUCH CLARITY. I've been reading my text book and getting nowhere. Omg, your a god-send. I will most definitely be ordering your video's as well as informing my classmates about you :-)
