I have fond memories of that area. I was in school at Ft. Gordon for several months in 1995, and I spent a lot of time riding around Augusta and a little in Aiken. I found this area, and when my wife was down one weekend to visit, we went there at night. Beautiful place - if there only more truth there...

@maskedwalnut Apparently it was put back up without the local government's consent. The new, politically-correct city flag is back there now, unfortunately.

does anyone think these are all natural causes!? During the first and the second nights of the ice storm and darkness has no one noticed some red,blue, green lights shining in the sky along with some horn sounding beam sound and right after that immediately around where the beams struck above certain houses(it's like someone taking pictures from the sky just the flashes were different colors) certain tall trees started cracking and crashing into the ground like some were targeting trees to get rid of them along with the houses ! Next time when there is power outage and ice storm again pay attention to the sky..

seen the different colors too in the night? and heard another one is coming up which i hope Not...??? and the sky looked like  it was covered with a sheet and nothing else was seen but those lights.....

It's just that how is it that it took no one else's attention while that night it was very quite everywhere and lights were off, there were no clouds in the sky but whereever those flashes were that's where there were dim lights,surprised no one took it in the cam i didn't see any on you tube....
