Why would you not just but the alcohol already concentrated? It's the same price.

+6Twisted It's not the same price where I live.  None of it is very expensive, but the higher the percentage of alcohol, the more expensive it is here.  But as I said in the above post, I buy one 199 proof grain alcohol.  Still, it's nice to know this method of concentration is available in an emergency.

+6Twisted It's mainly for demonstrational Purposes but it being the same price is not true... A store right by my house sells 30% for $0.79, 50% for a $1.00 and 90% for $2.29 So it's cheaper to buy two 50%'s and concentrate it yourself.

You showed us HOW, but not WHY anyone does this - and what is it used for? I'm assuming you are taking 70% and making it a much higher percent. I guess this is if you are unable to purchase 91% -?

I'm just curios why you would want to concentrate the alcohol? I can see maybe using as a propellant for a camp fire or something, but why else would you need to concentrate it? Cool video, I'm going to try it just cause it's cool lol.

+MR. Dude Demonstrational Purposes mainly, but some area's you can only get like 30-50% concentrations so this is a good way to concentrate it up.
