Making that kind of complaint, you have some unrealistic expectations about the price of luxury sedans. They are NOT cheap cars. The ATS starts for about $34K. The ATS undercuts comparable C-class, 3-series, and A4s by at least $1600. Like the others, the ATS will rise to over $40K in the upper grades. If you don't buy new then there's no reason to build it. The CTS proved GM could build such a car and profit. So, ATS. CTS will move up the scale and still undercut the Germans.

so is this is what that whole thing is all about ?!! the first female CEO ?!! really so the second guy was too inexperienced and too young .. so she is not ?! oh it is she no he .. 90% of the choices right now is all about female for a very ridicules reasons and I think we should reconsider that logic of sexism because it does exist . now women are involved in more fields then men .. And they have been picked up for work its because !? Because ?! She is just a women !!

Not nearly as quickly as comparable German and Japanese Luxury cars. Depreciation, resale price is, in part, a function of how much people will pay used. German and Japanese Luxury cars seem to take longer to depreciate because they cost so much at the start. German Luxos break badly, expensively, and often after about 5-6 years. Japanese Luxury cars become incredibly dated very fast losing any long term desirability much sooner.

The ATS looks promising. I think a fair number of people looking a the new 3-series and thinking it's just a bit too big, will find the ATS more their liking. My only real grip is that it took GM too long to great this car out. With such entrenched competition you have to build up that line up and presence much faster than GM/Cadillac has. It's obvious Cadillac can compete but they still have to go out there and compete.

you have to be considerably morbid to go through the process in developing a car it seems so time consuming no obstinately impatient person could be a car engineer or designer the two just wouldn't work impatience and the long process of developing a vehicle.!

Actual luxury isn't cheap. But the ATS neatly and sensibly undercuts BMW and Mercedes pretty well.
