Gonna order my son this for Christmas .How much did all the kit cost.?Would you reccomend the launch kit and extra straights and curves for the first day or would the starter kit and jump be enough to keep a child of 8 entertained .?Thanks

+Gareth Rooney - Heya Gareth. The starter kit is £149.99 and allows for 8 different layouts, including a bridge section and two cars. Personally, I think that it is a great start. I remember my first Scalextric was a figure-of-eight layout and was plenty for quite a while.
