When you guys said you ran into a guy that said "Enough money is when you have so much that you can tell anyone F-You!" Also saying F-You money reminds me of AaronClarey. Who says to be frugal, don't buy crap, don't nest, travel light so you can move if you need to, etc, etc. I've recently been following his stuff. So I'm curious, if that's who you're talking about? I know first hand that job hopping is harmful. Not only is it stressful, but it also makes you look bad to future employers. Employers want someone who is loyal [some of these employers at minimum wedge places want desperate people, at least in my area] individuals that are always ready, and willing to make [the employer] some money. Finally young people would have more money if they bought less electronic crap. You really want a game system? Then pick one, then buy your games used, or when they are on sale, or better yet, buy less games. The time you waste playing games could be used to get you out of the trap known as poverty benefits.
