Credit Score after Bankruptcy Foreclosure.

DONT listen to this guy....all he wants is for you to file bankruptcy,
which is how he makes his money.....settle directly with your
creditors...that is what i did and its over quickly and cheaply. With
chapter 13 it goes on for years and years and years, and you can only keep
enough money as dictated by the government, and if your income goes up
during the bankruptcy you have to give that additional income to the
trustee...and the trustee takes 10% of everything you send it...13 is a BAD
DEAL!
"Auctionmusic" is right about one thing, wrong about all others: Ch. 13
typically IS a bad deal, which is why that's less than 1% of MY bk filings.
Most of my clients are a go for Ch. 7, quick, simpler, fast credit score
recovery. Ch. 13's have a 70% failure rate. That's one reason I hate them.
But some people need them. Nice things worked for him, but creditor abuse
is up 17% this year over last per the FCC. BTW, direct settlement
w/creditors is a mediocre result: long recovery time, bad credit
Thanks for the comment. I'm not sure where you live, because six to twelve
weeks in the house with an unlawful detainer (eviction) proceeding is
pretty generous. Good for you! I won't presume to second guess your lawyer.
Stay tuned on your credit score, though. Best of luck to you!
