I'm fairly new to alcohol and in the Whisky department (sticking to
Canadian only) , I've tried and compared the Forty Creek, Gibson's Finest
12 years old, Alberta Premium and the Black Velvet, from straight to
chilled for hours in the fridge. None tastes good for me as is, I take
nothing away from Hougly. I guess my pallete makes them all unswalloable as
is, My search of enjoying a drink straight from the bottle (as is) to get a
buzz will have to be searched in the 20% alcohol drinks.
Why wouln't you sit down inside? I'm very glad you moved to a less windy
area after awhile btu i feel disconected with your review because I'm
seeing a shaken and jarring image. aswell as an overswished glass. A fine
whiskey however. Your review is good just the execution bothers me. (Forty
Creek is blended and 10 years of age)
I'm hunting for a smooth Canadian whisky and because of your review here,
I'm going to pick a 375ml of it today, that and the Gibson's 12yr old. I'll
try them tomorrow on my birthday. Thanks for the review and keep it up.
@chrism76 If whisky is not your thing then it's not your thing. It took me
quite a while to develop a taste for it. It's not something you can just
jump into.
Canadian Whiskys are renowned for their smoothness. Gibson's Finest 12 is
my favourite Canadian Whisky. It is fairly cheap too. Never had this one
though.
