I have flown over Puget Sound dozens of times with no real method to recover a multirotor if it were to sink. Now there is a way, GetterBack was designed for ...
Very true, Puget Sound averages about 54 degrees and we were in 50' of water so 12 minutes is PLENTY :) - took me an hour to get on the water when I landed my eZStar on it.. :)EZSTar Water Rescue
Fire Safety Training - How to Use a WATER Fire Extinguisher
//www.firetrainingacademy.co.uk - Short clip from 'Fire Training Academy' on how to correctly and SAFELY use a WATER based Fire Extinguisher.
Here in the U.S.A. the pull pin ring must be on the gauge/front. We have a
water mist extinguisher that is made for electrical fires. I think it
should be a law that all extinguisher trainers should have great leg's like
yours.
A pack of lie...Yesterday it just happens to me, my cooking oil just burn 5
feet from the frying pan as I forgot that i just cooked a chicken when my
neighbour come to hang out with me at my living room, as I notice, I found
no other way to put down fire, i just 'throw a jug of water' yes, the fire
boomed out but at least it's slowly began to dissapear...Water still can
put down the fire at the cooking oil but just put all your hazardous and
valuable thing away from the cooking oil fire... :-)
@robtime: The key to using a traditional fire extinguisher is to be far
enough away from the fire as indicated on the use label. If you remain
about 10ft away from the burning oil, the extinguisher will not spray it
around. The agent will gently cover the burning material. FWIW, I have a
CO2 extinguisher for my kitchen and as long as I remain at least 8ft from
the flames, the CO2 will not blow the burning oil around. Proper training
is vital for safe fire extinguisher usage.
I've done that few weeks ago with my VFD and I was the one pouring the
water. It was extinquished every time but it wouldn't matter because almost
everything else it (meaning the fire statue it generates) hits would
ignite. Especially if you have a extractor fan above your stove witch
probably never has been cleaned from all the grease it has collected. And
as the fire statue rose it heated my neck very much as it was the only
naked part of my body. Not afterwards ;D
@idkyoo I would strongly advise against that unless you can get a special
type of fire extinguisher known as 'wet chemical' look it up on the web.
Most fire extinguishers will simply blast the burning fat all over the
kitchen as they are too powerful. Best advice mate seriously is 1. Turn the
cooker off. 2. put a damp tea towel over the pan. If you can wring the tea
towel out first as you can see from the video here what happens when loose
water spills on the fat.
Tea towel?!?! If you are cooking with oil, keep the lid right next to the
pot. Putting the lid on will starve the fire of oxygen and extinguish the
fire. I had a customer who's tenant threw water on a grease fire and the
fireball burnt the house down. One of the neighbors lost 3 one month old
puppies in the fire. Nine people went homeless that day.
That happened to us when i was a teenager. The pot we used wasn't high
enough and the oil caught fire. My father tried to move the pot the the
sink but he failed to do so. He dropped the pot on the floor ruining the
linoleum in the process but we didn't get injured. It is a very intense
flame that goes up all the way to the ceiling in an instant.
Flour is just as flammable as the wheat it came from, and sugar and salt
burn as well. Baking soda works, but it requires you to get right above the
fire, and you have to use quite a bit of it. Quickly but calmly placing the
lid on, turning off the heat, and waiting for it to cool down is always the
best.
@cloudinas While you have a point, you're also creating a larger hazard
than you need to. any fire will burn it's self out when it runs out of
fuel. if you cover the top of the pot, it cuts off the airflow and fire. I
think flour is supposed to work too, but that might be specific to grease
fires
Okay, if you're welcome to express an opinion but if you're going to resort
to profanities and attacking others then you should get out of this
conversation. BTW: You're just as fucking stupid and you shouldn't exist on
this planet.
@ProjectIdiot depends if the petrol was cold maybe but also how much oxygen
is available, throwing petrol on would get the same looking reaction at
first but then it may not burn even until it hits floor and spreads out.
If you put a damp tea towel (make sure all the water is wrung out so it
doesn't drip!) over the pan then it will smother the flames and put the
fire out. Just in case you need to know in future :)
i nearly burnt down the house the other day when puttin tomato (more like
tomato juice) into burning oil. the pan caught on fire, lol at least now i
know why, and what not to do ever again..
@ksff286 Not a BLEVE either... you're thinking of LPG or another boiling
liquid that is flammable. The water boils in this case, but doesn't burn.
Good analogy however.
I know, what an absolute disgrace. I bet your one of those people that
thinks the world would be a better place, only if "everyone was nice and
happy". Tree-hugger.
When I was little my mom was cooking and the burer caught on fire and she
throw flower on it and it went out. Or maybe it was sugar or salt, I don't
remember.
This is disgraceful of how water can make this fire even worse. I wish
chemistry was changed where water can extinguish all fires regardless of
the source.
A fire extinguisher is an absolute necessity in any home or office. While there's a good chance that the extinguisher will sit on the wall for years, collecting dust, ...
Your a freaking moron... Firie needs 3 things only. Fuel (ie. Gas), Oxygen,
and a Heat source (ie. Flame) The reason your powder sugar (ie. Splenda)
doesn't light on fire on the table is due to the fact that you have a over
riched ratio. More fuel then Oxygen thus it can't burn. When you throw it
in the air, its allowed to spread out allowing the ratio to come down and
allow it to catch fire. If you shoot it out of a potato gun then the ratio
changes due to compression ratios and such.
@SpecializedChild462 I remember you from another video but i cant find that
video. So i dont know where your getting the stalker thing and such... Also
yes i blocked you but now that you mention it i will unblock you i
suppose. When ever i am arguing with people on youtube i block them most of
the time so they dont say crap on my channel but i can in fact remove such
comments quickly. But it does save me time by blocking them instead. Also on
the fire extinguisher trolling thing.
@april76301 well you can't leave it burning forever especially without a
pit around it and i highly doubt that an imaginary power would work
therefore you need to use a type of extinguishing method before it gets out
of control. anyeays I guess you hate the fire department then. But okay yes
I have a seperate power (halon) and you are fire. so yes we then do have a
reason to hate each other in imaginary terms but in real life we should be
nice and just get the fuck along!
omg ur retarded.. first off ti depends on your type of fule, second.. that
was oil based... your too close to start with..3 with oil based fire.. u
fuckign aim at the liquid especially as clsoe as you are your just goign to
blwo the fule aorudn make a bigger mess and push fire around... yes you aim
at the base of the fire.. and start like atleast 4 feet away and work your
way in sweepign back and forth ina pretty fast movement... go take entry
lvl fire fighting.. didiot
@SpecializedChild462 I'm serious pyrokinesis is a real abilty if your
trained well enough you can ignite and de-ignite things with your mind. Also
well to be honest your minorly confusing... Halon? The chemical agent
Halon? Wtf... Yes i know blocking people will not stop them from replying
to you on videos. It stops them mostly on your channel. Also yes we should
get along this is all just silly.I dont even know anymore why most of this
started.
@SpecializedChild462 I in fact find it offensive when ever people put out
fires... So i would not consider it trolling i'm just expressing the way i
feel. Also when ever i am burning something i'm extremely safe about it.I'm
near a sink 99.9% of the time.Plus well in the very rare chance something
does get out of control i can use pyrokinesis and put it out.I dont need
water or a fire extinguisher pretty much all the time.
@april76301 I am not trying to be a stalker or anything based on why you
blocked me but I just saw this but why are you trolling fire extinguisher
videos? I figured out why you blocked me. Honestly if your kitchen was on
fire or something wouldn't you wish you had a fire extinguisher? Trust me i
am a pyro too and I burn things in my backyard all the time but I always
put it out.
@april76301 Good idea and yes i do mean the halon fire extinguisher. i am
very weird and I like halon! :D It is very clean and leaves no mess but it
can also cause asphyxiation and even halon poisoning. But of course I am
not stupid enough to go dump a halon extinguisher on my friends! idk i'm
just weird! It's usually fire and ice but in my book it's fire and halon.
oh and anyone who says different.. ur dumb.. notice when he first trys
putting it out.. you see him fail at it and just blow fire out of it...he
used used way to much extinguishing agent and barley got the task done..
ive put out propane fire 15 times that size with less... go ask your local
fire dept. most of them do fire extinguisher training classes
Lucky bastard! I am still trying to get my hands on a copper class D. But
we will ever get any more class D exts. I want to get a water mist for my
burn pile, the water cans that I have just scatter the leaves. So far I
just use a garden pesticide sprayer(mist wand) with dish soap or what ever
class A I can sneak out of the station. LOL
@april76301 sorry I wasn't trying to argue with you. i just assumed that
you were lying about the volcano thing when your friend fell into it. BTW
it won't stop people from replying to your comments in other peoples videos
but that isn't why I did this. just please can we get along and be nice
even though you are fire and i am halon?
Actually most common fire extinguishers today are a dry chemical, not CO2
gas...it helps them put out more than just a paper fire by smothering the
fire rather than displacing oxygen in the atmosphere. It's more efficient
in an open-air environment where more oxygen just rushes back in to the
still-hot fuel and reignites it.
O, dont get me wrong I'm not suggesting using it for anyone else, its kinda
dumb but its works okay for me. I use a little Drench it too(after the meat
has been removed from that part of the grill) so its not just H20. How well
do those water mist ext. work on class B or k? I thought most used
deionized water?
This thing saved my house last night. Was cooking something in a toaster
oven when it caught on fire. Fire extinguishers do sit around for a while..
but you never know when they could save your property or even your life.
That "when" was last night for me. Thank god for these ingenious devices.
I heard that the water mist exts.(at least the Amerex ones) need a special
air adaptor to re-pressurize. Do you know if this is true, becuase that
would probably keep me from buying one. I doubt they would sell me the
adaptor, I guess the whole point is to keep the recharging at the stores.
@jumanjalepeno Well god gave me the abilty... But gods gift to earth is not
fire... Also im not a joke in life becuase im not the one trolling here
.And well i must say myself your trolling is well pretty bad i recommend
you go work on it... Also pyrokineis is not fake... Its a real abilty
depends..actually.. wate fire extinguishers are jsut filled with water to a
certant lvl and then seal and pummped up with compressed air... u can
resuse those over and over.. checmical extinguishers... you ahve to send
back to manufacturer where there tested and refilled
Newcastle-under-Lyme Market 1960's
Memories of Newcastle-under-Lyme Market, filmed in the 60's.
just played this clip, just by chance as it was a random suggestion and in
the first few seconds of the film MY MUM walks past the camera and looks
straight down the lens. the lady in the head scarf....now that is a chance
in a million that she is in newcastle and another chance in a million that
i have played it today, without even intending to...im now gob smacked for
the day....My mum by the way is 82 now and still goes down the town to do
the same thing....WOW
I am not from the area but knew a couple of girls one hanley and one from
n/underlyme. I was always interested in what they told me about the areas.
I am talking about when we met back in 1963 and my dad said yes son you can
cycle up to stoke to meet up with these girls, by the way i lived in poole
dorset another great pottery town.So if you read this and knew Brenda baker
and jacky proudlove just say an old friend rob burton says hello.

@electifiedzombie: Carbon Dioxide is also quite effective for a residential
chip fan fire as the depth of the oil is not that great. Plus it also has a
cooling action to it as well. Commercial kitchens though do best with wet
chemical (Class K in North America) extinguishers since commercial chip
pans are much deeper and thus hold their heat more.
Carbon Dioxide is a poor extinguisher as it has no cooling properties, it
only replaces the oxygen in the flame zone, as soon as it leaves the zone
the oxygen returns and it re=ignites again, co2 is a poor extinguisher
@FireSafetyTraining you are 100% correct, co2 on a deep fryer is a poor
choice. the oil & vapors are still at combustion temperature. A cooling /
smothering effect is ideal
Fire Safety! A MUST SEE!
please watch this vid.. on "how to handle fires safely" the lady will explain the method!
