it was totally normal tradition to black people living in Holland!!! until couple of years ago african americans discovered this celebration and this mess started.i swear i remember when they started this!the tradition is very old but this protests started just now...think why.

Oh my god please SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!!!! There was not fucking peaceful demontration going on over there. There was a fight going on between pro and anti protesters on a FUCKING CHILDRENS PARTY!!!!! Thats why so many people got arrested!!!!!! Why the fuck was a 3 YEAR OLD CHILD CALLED A RACIST BY THE ANTI PROTESTERS because he was dressed up as Saint Nicolas (sinterklaas) FUCK THAT SHIT!!! Children saw this shit and were scared and cying. Sinterklaas is a day where children are most importand and get candy and gifts. It's a "tradition" As being a collored person myself i do agree on the fact that Zwarte piet (Black pete) looks to much like the racist blackface from the slavery times. But before people stood up against black pete nobody i repeat NOBODY saw a connection between the blackface and the childrens friend black pete! They should not have been there to demonstrate with all those children around them. The pro and anti people are fucking grownups and why arn't they acting like grownups. I dont know from what country your from but we are tolerant here in the Netherlands. We do have freedom to speak. In every country you got the rotten apples. I'm proud to live here every day and i don't have to worry that people look at me differently because i have a skin collor

all those niggers in holland should teach the dutch a lesson and leave the netherlands. that will show white people. the crime rate and the welfare rolls will drop to virtually zero. that will show whitey. 

It's NOT blackface!!! And it's offensive to you (Americans) but not to us. I'm Dutch (AND black by the way). Just as in some countries it's offensive to stick your tongue out to strangers, but in others it's a form of greeting: different traditions mean different things.
