hey, quick question, i have no idea how old my latitude D430 is (was my
aunts for quite a while) and im using it now, wanted to erase and format my
hard drive, but dont know how. either that or replace the hard drive like
what youve done here. theres no option for me to buy a new one not for
another two years atleast. what do you suggest i do? my question is how do
i format it on my own, or where can i buy that hard drive for cheap, and
give it to my computer guy to get it done coz in india they charge a bomb
just to get the hard drive and extra to get the job done. and i dont have a
bomb.
any help would be greatly appreciated
really.
thanks in advance :D
yeah those lame ass toshiba drives are more an aggravation than anything
else... good thing there are now solid state drives that fit the machine
and at reasonable prices. New life to an entry level machine! (aka for 10
year olds)
what kind of Cable is the ribbon cable? My laptop died about a year ago
because it won't charge, and I'd like to get a HDD enclosure, but I can't
buy one that isn't compatible, I think it's IDE, but I'm not sure.
ebay has 100 gb p atat ziff drive but they want 170.00 bucks for them and
the pc is not worth around there. so a 80gb with a external usb drive is
the way to go.
Since I'm posting two years after this video was done, what hard drive
would you recommend today for this computer. I have to replace mine. Thanks
for any help!
