See you are the typical animal rights activist.  When it comes down to it, you start name calling.  You brought up the subject of if I was telling the truth, so I told you some of my background.   But instead you start using filthy language.  And I have been out, I spent 50 years on the road as much as possible going to rodeos.. Rodeos started because ranchers wanted to see who had the best and fastest working hands.   They were not people with pet cows.  Just because you petted your cows, does not mean that everybody should do as you say or else you will start cussing them.Seen one ARA, guess you have seen them all. Here is good a link on how you all work://www.courthousenews.com/2014/04/08/66901.htmI think they are one of your heros.

+Gliding Buzzard, we farmed cattle up until 15 years ago, when husband retired. You are crossing the lies told by so many others. here's a typical response "These animals are bred to rodeo". "These animals are trained to do this". "These animals enjoy their work". ALL BULLShit! Cattle farming/ranching has nothing to do with rodeo stock contracting, and to spout otherwise is typical BS. I am NOT saying ranches don't do what rodeos do, I AM saying they do it without the element of a money prize at the end, nor did we ever consider veterinary procedures a "sport". Seriously, you need to get out more.Stop deflecting from the topic. I could give two shits what your GGF did. He made money off animals? So what? So did we. The difference? We made sure our animals didn't suffer, nor get injured, nor panicked.

You don't work on a ranch much do you?  Been at it 60 years.  You can let city people brain wash your mind with the way they might work cattle, but in the real world cattle ranches are still run as they always were.Where do you think all the ranching rodeo cowboys get their practice stock?   From their ranch.  Where do you think all the ranch rodeo hired hands who compete in Ranch Rodeos get their practice stock?  From the ranches they are working on.To sit there and claim that ranches don't do the same thing they do at rodeos is beyond belief. My great grandfather before he started raising cattle, left the reservation and became a big time fur trapper at a very young age.  With the money he made he started buying land.  I know you have issues with that also.

+Gliding Buzzard, I feel sorry for you lack of education. Native Americans were basically thrown off their land, and to keep us "entertained", we put you in "Wild West Shows". Ever hear of Buffalo Bill?Cattle destroyed your culture, and here you are defending it. Bizarre. YOUR ancestors were here long before 1760. IF you aren\t lying through your drunken teeth.Cattle ranching's premise is to NOT injure, nor panic, nor kill, their livestock.Rodeo? The exact opposite occurs.

+AnimalLeftist Wow!!  Did you ever go to school?  I will give you a hint on cattle and ranching, and yes they did the same thing as they do in rodeos today.  Here is your hint.  Our ancestors started in 1760 and it drew attention to the white people to the north.

+Gliding Buzzard, seriously?? Are you shitting me? "Palefaces" have made your lives a living travesty. You as a people deserve all of our respect, yet you defend "whiteman"'s idea of fun with livestock?Give your head a shake, bud.
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_ItCASwox9g/AAAAAAAAAAI/AAAAAAAAAEs/as-2QqqLZU8/photo.jpg?sz=64
Yeah, palefaces have been try to tell us what is right and what is wrong for centuries.

+Gliding Buzzard, was that the English language? WTFF does de-horning cattle have to do with snapping one off? Causing pain is the rodeo way. It isn't the right way, but hey, jerk-downs are FUN, right? Ask Dr. Temple Grandin what she thinks about jerk-downs.What an idiot...

+AnimalLeftist Your the one in fairy land.    Remember when you thought all rodeo associations hand the jerk down rule.  Guess you have never heard of de horning cattle either.
