It's very, very early yet. Thor: The Dark World debuted at 87% positive. It's dropped over 20 points. It's a great opening out of the gate, but a lot can still happen.

although the movie was done well, if you examine the bare facts of the story, then you have to emit the protagonist is still just a pseudo deep self centered bitch. and from what i hear about julia roberts, playing this role was NOT a stretch at all, and its just another testimony to her narcissism to be pushing 50 and playing a 32yo. but you know what WAS a stretch in this movie? julia's skin around that awkward skull of hers.. like someone put a condom over the head of a duck billed platypus.

No. DKR will hold it's own but it won't surpass Avengers. DKR is a much darker, a much more serious movie, a lot less funny and, IMO, themed more towards an older (18+) crowd. Avengers, on the other hand, is hilarious and action packed through and through. It's light hearted yet serious. Lets not forget that you're getting 6 heroes for the price of 1. Anyone who is a fan of one is sitting in a theater but if you don't like Batman, you're probably going to pass on DKR.

Easy guys, Tatiana is on vacation :-) Well, I am like...probably gonna watch Avengers in the cinemas for about 2-3 times maybe, and of course buy the DVD or BLU-RAY as well. And I am defently gonna watch Ironman 3, Thor 2, Captain America 2, and so on, so for a movielover like myself, there is a lot of great stuff coming up, and I can't wait :-)

harry potter is amazing but so is the avengers d: im not surprised it beat it because more age groups are attracted to it. like little kids and older people dont go see HPandDH part2 its more teens and young adults but hp still has midnight showing record because its AMAZING and life changing. but the avengers was great!

Such an awsome movie. I would love to see it at least 2 more times and I plan on buying it on DVD and Bluray. They should start on Avengers 2 ASAP. More people want to see all of them in one movie then their own movies or they can show the next avenger character in the movies to hint at the Avengers 2.

barely. the dark night is already running low on ratings. even though it was a hit in arkham city and asylum, i don't think it will reach it. the last batman movie was not that good and i think people expect alot from the next one. they COULD by it would be a 20% chance

Its going to be hard but if there's any movie that could beat $207 million, its TDKR. also i'm beginning to feel avengers is becoming a bit to over hyped don't get me wrong it was amazing but 93% on RT? there's tons of movies more deserving.

its being compared because Marvel Comics and DC Comics have always been in a competition. Marvel probably has a one up on DC right now because its has The Avengers, DC needs to step up their game and make a Justice League movie already.

tracking for the movie says the it will hit a billion by sunday, so 1 billion in two weeks 2 days.... and everytime they made tracking predictions, the avengers passes it by a long shot, sooooo the billion is just about a sure win.
