If that is true,truth is not a belief or belief system,but a "person"! Even the Koran says that Jesus did not have an "earthly father",but was born to/from a "virgin"! Everyone must have a "father" so who was his? Also the Koran calls Jesus,"The Word of God"!! You probably believe the way you were/are taught to believe. That should/is never a reason to believe that what you are "taught" is true!! Example: Hinduism is how old? One of the oldest? Does that mean that it is true or that millions have just "believed" it to be true? A perfect example of people "believing" a lie for thousands of years! That does not means they are stupid,that means that they are foolish and self-deceived! They "choose" to believe what their parents teach them and that their ancestors have done and believed before them! As the Bible says,"Worshiping the creation instead of the creator"! "Thinking themselves to be wise they become fools and exchange the knowledge and glory of God for dead and worthless idols! By the way,"idolatry" is not just having statues and false Gods,but believing something to be true that is not true and refusing not to believe that which is!! Be Blessed!!

+John Carpenter hello John. You have said something here that I have not been able to stop thinking about. It is where you say that JOHN CLAIMS that Jesus said that 'no one comes to the father except through me'. This one verse, more than any other, had caused me to have to reject Christianity. The world is too full of lovely, sincere people - seekers of Truth - that do not not not will ever accept Christianity. They are all entirely doomed? Of course not. Then you have the evangelists who, based solely on this verse/claim, insist the world must be converted to Christianity - this is the Calling, the Mission, that must be undertaken lest Heathens be eternally damned. If what you say is the case then the entire concept of Christianity is misunderstood and needs to be corrected ASAP. Can you say where I might find more about this claim of John's? Why might John have made such a claim? How did this happen? A simple misunderstanding? An over-exuberant disciple? I am fascinated by this to say the least. Clearly you are very knowledgable. Are you an academic of some sort? Thank you for your contribution here.

+Rain Andfog Jesus’ first reference to weeping and gnashing of teeth comes in Matthew 8:12 where He compares the kingdom of heaven where “many” come from all parts of the world to “recline at the table with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.” The sons of the (other) kingdom, however, are thrown into “outer darkness” where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth, a description of a truly horrible and painful fate. In His parable of the weeds sown in the field, Jesus again describes the fate of those who reject Him, this time adding to the description “the fiery furnace” into which they will be cast (Matthew 13:41-42). The story of the guest who comes to the wedding feast of the Lamb without the proper clothing (salvation) is cast into outer darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth (Matthew 22:11-13), as is the wicked servant described in Matthew 24:44-51 and the worthless servant in the parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30).All these references to weeping and gnashing of teeth have one thing in common—the undeniable fact that those who do not belong to Christ will suffer this terrible fate, while His children will enjoy bliss in heaven with Him forever. In heaven, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away" (Revelation 21:4). The pain that causes the gnashing of teeth will be unknown in heaven, and there will be no weeping, no wailing, and no tears. The sorrow and death that cause us to weep and mourn will be a thing of the past. Sickness, death, persecution, and sin will be no more.

+Thomas Goodrich Actually, JOHN claims Jesus said that, which is hardly likely because certainly Moses, Isaaih, and the other prophets of the old testament did not "come to the father" through Jesus. As to the judgement, I'm guesing you don't have a clue about the imagery suggested since you are reading a translation in English whuch was derived not merely from the original langauge into which the new testament was translated, Greek, but subsequently into Lartin, Syriac, Coptic, Gothic, Armenian, Arabic, and finally into Anglo-Saxon.The parable of the sheeps and goats which is one of the earliest references in the new testament to a final judgement (Matthew 25:46), for whatever reason was interpreted in English to mean "eternal punishment".That is not what the Greek text suggested. The words used were "kolasis aionios". The Greek word "kolasis" suggests "pruning". One prunes a tree, not to harm it or but to cut off or remove dead, dysing, or misshapen parts or branches to restore it to health and strenghthen it. At the same time, "aionis", which is written in Greekas "aiwvlos", does not mean eternal, but as for an "age". The word also appears in the writings of Josephus in "The War of the Jews", book 6, where Jonathan is condemned to "aiwvlos" imprisonment, which was for a period of three years.We also see the word in the Epistle of Saint Paul to the Ephesians, written by Chrysostom who speaks of the kingdom of satan as "aiwvlos", or lasting for a time but certainly nit for eternity.So, when you take the original greek term "kolasis aionis", the imagery in THE ORIGiNAL GREEK tranlation which was the language the oldest known gospel of Matthew was written in, suggests the goats, unrepentant sinners, or unbelievers would NOT be subjected to "eternal damnation" but to the curative ministrations of God, who like a master gardner, would subject the temporarily lost to a period of pruning to encourage healthy spiritual growth and flowering. The idea that a God of perfect love who inspires us to forgive "seven times seventy" would subject his children to eternal damnation while pronouncing his unconditional, everlasting love for all humans, even sinners, deserves the ridicule George Carlin attributed to such a childish, pernicious idea.I cannot conceive of a religious belief that has cost more suffering than this hideous, abberant, human belief that has been attributed to God.

Eternal.  Heaven is as is the Lake of fire if God does not see your name in the book of life on your day of judgment . Before there was Jesus Christ there was the one true Creator.  I will keep faith in that truth but I want to thank you for everything you have said in your response. It is very helpful.  Peace and much love returned to you also. 

You do not need to believe in Jesus. Goddard lived in a time when the world was different than it is now, and, obviously these very Christian concepts were his paradigm. Whether you are a Christian, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist or Agnostic --whoever you are --the principles of manifestation work the same, for everyone. I understand how the frequent Biblical references can be interruptive to the thrust of his message here if you are not a Christian. Goddard is very good, but there are other good teachers on YT who offer this without religion. Manifestation is not a religious concept, and associating it with any religion is a minority point of view to start with. Peace and much love to you!
