+punkpoetry "the way you believe yourself qualified to hand down grades for smartness to the likes of Eddie Izzard is really... impressive" I don't have to be smarter than Eddie to know that when he relies on playing around with his book learning about history to appear "intelligent" (he's showing off that he's conventionally very educated and has a good memory), that's demonstrating a different kind of "intelligence" than Stanhope and Bamford impress me with.

+Joseph Scott Amen. Although I've heard Proops on a lot of podcasts, and he's actually a lot smarter (both comedically and like, in life) than you would have thought. But yeah totally agree with your statement.

+jklroxmysox111 She's smarter than Eddie Izzard imo. There's a difference between remembering a lot of book learning about history or vocabulary or the like, like Izzard or Greg Proops can, and having, imo, the intelligence about life itself of a Bamford or Stanhope.

She's very well respected by the alt-comedy world, especially by other comedians. If you don't think she's funny, fine. But if you think it's about impersonations and funny sounds; you're not getting the jokes.
