Yup that sounds like Disney a fucking deception. Deceiving people as well as children. Fuck Disney. I can't believe George Lucas sold out to fucking Disney. Well it all started with that Star Tours shit at their Disney parks I guess it was bound to happen sometime. See this is my problem. The movie is titled like it's a reboot and not a continuation of the original trilogy. Now you guys are calling it a new series? How is it a new series (by the way Movies are called franchises not series that's Television but whatever) if it's supposed to continue the story after Return of the Jedi(1983)?

+Johnny Skinwalker First of all, his name is spelled "Steven", not "Stephen". And J.J. Abrams happens to be a huge Star Wars fan. Why should someone who's not a Star Wars fan direct a new Star Wars film? Kennedy has a had a few misfires as a producer (like The Last Airbeneder, but so have all producers. However, she's had far more success. So I think she knows exactly what she's doing. She's been a producer for over 30 years, longer than I've been alive.

Lucas did write the original plots for Episodes VII, VIII, and XI after Return of the Jedi. None of the material from the original scripts were used in the new film though. Lucas even tried pitching some ideas for the movie. All were rejected.
