As an addict.. anyone that believes this video is correct or ALL there is
to it is beyond dumb.
Proof... many addicts including my self get prescribed SSRI. Which
increases serotonin levels, guess what? I still went for heroin after a

Have many other people who have done the same... in conclusion. This video

Mind disease: Our overbearing minds are like a disease. Like many diseases,
it makes us feel bad. The mind, by separating us from true life, does not
let us feel nearly as good as we should. *The mind prevents us from being
unified with life*. We just need a large dose of the Truth to cure it and
eradicate it from the earth, but we are doing the opposite, and we are
doing things that just make us more sick.*(page 20 Present with Religion)*
Learning the *Truth of Life* is the only way to *CURE* the Mind. Search for *TruthContest

+joel trawick Drugs are the easiest way to make brain drop insane amounts of dopamine and I doubt there is healthy alternatives ... The problem with drugs is that you never really feel normal and you need more and more to stay grounded ! But... problem is that dopamine receptors are destroyed and sensitivity is severely damaged , you never know how much you need to feel high. That's why so much junkies dying by overdose. It's same thing with porn and masturbation, alcohol , etc... The only way to get receptors in their initial state and get balanced serotonin levels you have to stop your addictions for a certain period of time. But better of course is to stop it forever.
+chitka89 Other than continuous use of the drug, there are alternatives to reaching the "normal" level and to feel "good" again.I'm sure you know of methadone treatments for heroin. You are right, though, this is still "the addiction". What I am more interested in, though, are drugs maybe like bupropion or other serotonin increasing drugs that would make you feel "normal" again, but aren't as damaging as methadone.
Of course you will ,when you hack your brain with artificial with hugedopamine boosts ,your normal level will decrease each time lower. So only the addiction can give you enough dopamine to stay on a "normal" level and feel good again. But after the shoot you'll feel worse then when you went before. It's the principle of all drugs and root of all evil.

Gambling sucks for the addicted personality type like me. I gambled for
many years and did not realize how much it has stolen from me!!! I am an ex
dealer and now and ex gambler... its not the money its the life you miss
out on that gambling takes away from you.. Even after a big win a gambler
will not spend the money on nice things for himself or family. Don't take
drugs to stop try GA or other 12 step programs... Meetings make it!!! Life
is good without gambling.

So you say that there is a distinction to be made between pathalogical
addiction and high engagement, including those 6 criteria (e.g. when you
say tolerance or cognitive salience do not definitely show pathalogical
addiction) so I'm wondering what type of behaviour/symptoms are unique to
addiction, and would not be found in those who simply often engage with the
activity. Are conflict and withdrawal symptoms the main two or are their
others? Also, could you clarify point 6?
i mean no offence and the topic is very interesting but as a gameplay
perspective you should fire in smaller bursts with will increase your
accuracy and save bullets for reloading im refering to roughtly around 5
mins in but again it was very educational and an interesting point of view
