Just had an interesting discussion with one of my young daughters on this. She was mortified by the thought of eating insects. I tried to make the pro case by saying that crickets and grasshoppers could be considered the equivalent of certain sea foods. I said we could call these "land shrimp". I thought this was pretty smart based on evolutionary connections, but my daughter said "you have just ruined shrimp for me"!
