i bet the ATC's mind was like, "Oh my God, what am I gonna do, what the,
wait, wait, ok I'll tell him, God he is too low, wait I forgot about Flight
no. 0000, i'm gonna ask him, Wait what about the plane on-hold, oh no
Flight no. 0000 is stalling, I'm losing my mind!!!!" But still, they are
underpaid....
Not quite true... The average is slightly lower. And a lot of long haul
pilots earn a fair but more than that. But average across all ATC vs
average across all pilots, yeah, ATC probably comes out on top.
@SlamDuncDrummer .. it depends on which stage is the atco.. most of them
are overworked for SURE. I was on FAA last month and got shocked with their
work schedule. too heavier than here in Brazil.
@MrSpooky787 Not exactly under paid but respect for sure. The average
income for an ATC controller exceeds that of transcontinental heavy pilots.
About $158,000 per year.
sry that was at about 2 minutes 39 after the controller gives the go around
command he directs chilean AF1 onto uniform which means they DID cause the
go around! NOOOBS!

Macho Pilot lands on NYC beach (JFK Tower Audio)
note- I cut out some of the time between transmissions to shorten the length of the video. I posted this video for pilots to learn from his mistake. DON'T SOUND ...
+Kopihucky yeah I also heard the unmistakable sound of scissors hacking away at someone's private pilots licence shortly beforehand did you hear that as well
+Golvic HEY now! I did a lot of renting of a Bonanza between my PPL and Commercial/Insrument. I knew the airplane well & got excellent training (about 5 hours with CFI) before being allowed solo. The difference, though, was I respected the plane, the weather, my trip, and wasn't a "jackass."
+ikkeennigij121 Not to worry. In fact I used to work as a CFII and trained many, many PPL students and CPL, IFR and multi-engine pilots. There was an ocasional inflated ego here and there, but as far as I can remember, nothing like what is heard on the video.
+corisco tupi I agree in this case but it is something that I've observed in my training towards CPL so far, not trying to sound like I know better.Anyway there will always be different kinds of people.
+ikkeennigij121 While that is true, it bears little relationship to the case in hand. The pilot was completely over the top with arrogance, determined to land on the beach no matter what, and generally an ass on the radio. Most PPLs out there have a way, way more professional attitude than this clown.
Macho pilots like this guy and his "rajaaaahhh" gibberish do not belong
anywhere near the vicinity of major airports or populated areas!! This guy
is a compete moronic idiot! Let me guess, the FAA and NTSB showed up at his
doorstep quite shortly after this incident! FAA personel dialogue: "Get
your logbook and license, this will be the last time you will have the
plaeasure of disembarking an aircraft."
The pilot: "Rajaaahh."
+MileHighClub211 Well it is the same on the other spectrum, one can argue in the higher levels of seniority the ego creates it's own unique challenges. In my personal opinion, it is not the generation of pilots, it is the training and standards set forth by regulatory bodies. As for this individual, glad his flying days are over and I would never have to share the airspace with that clown.
+MileHighClub211 He was under the class B airspace around the three major airports, as he was below 500 feet where he was. The controller refers to this fact a few times. I used to do this route myself, leaving from the same airport and flying over the beach. The rest of what he did is really knuckleheaded to say the least The landing is not permitted without, as the tower said, prior arrangement, or an emergency. His entire tone in the way he spoke to ATC is just revolting.
It seems like in this generation of pilot's, there's more incidents involving over protruding ego's. There's more risk taker's, more rule busters, and more ignorance. If only we can turn the trend upside down...
Yes, he certainly does sound impaired to me. It would not have surprised me if that controller reported that aircraft shortly after the pilot made his transmissions. Asking to make a low fly by by a beach, despite the fact that he is inside the world's busiest airspace.
Idiot, yes, but he also sounds high on ganga weed to me....
