I had the privilege of working on-air at WQAM for several years in 1970s. It was a blast to be at a station that was so legendary - there was a clipboard in the control room that every jock signed for posterity. Even Alan Freed's name was there. Though only 5,000 watts, the antenna and ground conductivity enabled QAM's signal to hit not only Cuba, but even Jamaica. (We got listener calls from both!). A treasured memory...and one today's radio people will never enjoy because of how things are.

Right, my family moved to Port Charlotte in 1962. I was 16 and WQAM was the best station I could receive. Ft. Myers, Sarasota, and Tampa had some top 40 stations that could be received, but none of them came close to "Tiger Radio." Problem was thy couldn't be picked up when they cut power at sundown or on days when there were several thunderstorms in the area.

well, you can download a pack of acapellas tracks from sites or p2p. In Fl you have plugin named "slicer" or "slicex". Use option "load sample" and thats all...

+bowbow He made an incredible comeback in 2013, i saw him first the first time in 2008, Heineken Musical Hall in Amsterdam, he played with The Prophet on Qountdown, then i saw him again at In Qontrol and after that he got kinda of the radar musicwise, and then in 2013 he had so many amazing experimental tracks that put him back on the radar again, this track Warphole, i've listened it for years and his track Halos is awesome too
