I have a 2008 528i with the exact same code! My question is if I replace the part will the check engine light go away 100% sure? I'm scared that it's actually something else, but the code is P2402

I repalced the same pump, and the service engine light stil on, you mention to reset the light service, do you have any videos or info how to reset the service light, thanks [email protected]

Other then removing those panels how hard/easy is the replacement? Also, how did you determine the P2402 error, with what tool?

One of the easiest replacements ive ever done. You use any OBD2 Scan tool. Available for use at any major auto parts store.

At first it cleared both of them, but after a while the p0492 came back. I believe this is caused by my Secondary Air Pump going out as I can hear it making a lot of noise in the first 30 seconds or so of turning on the car.

It uses freon directly to cool the system. Versus a Chevy Volt which uses Glycol coolant and a heat exchanger for the AC to cool the pack. The Volt can also passively cool with just flowing the glycol to the radiator. Don't know if the i3 can cool the pack by just going through the radiator without the compressor running to save power. But since it uses freon directly, no heat exchanger.

I would combine some of the test to get the more realistic situations. If it was a water landing I would think that an impact test before the water (salt water?) test would follow?

You don't need a mechanical connection or open "water" cycle to cool a cell. The magic word is heat exchanger.

Para los amantes de las emisiones cero, está muy bien, pero por la diferencia de precio con una normal, no es nada económica. Con la diferencia de precio se puede comprar toda la gasolina de la vida útil de la moto, y encima te sobra para comprarte otra.
