the idea is great think's,and in want to mention that when you use c++/clr you actualy use a managed c++ which is slow compared to native c++ and because of that ,that's not give you a great idea about perforamnce comparison between c++ and assembly.and i want ro say also that i already did a multithreaded version of brightness programme and i got a crazy result because i didn't got a encreese performance as i accepected only 70% when i used all my 8 cores of my i7 2600K.and i'am exited how you are going to implemente a multithreaded version of the blured programme .godbye.

That's great to hear you got a good result on the brightness algorithm!CLR is just a library. It's only the CLR objects and methods which use slow (but safe) managed memory. Native C++ runs at the same speed regardless of whether your project references CLR or not. At least, I think that's how it works; if you know otherwise, I'd be very interested in hearing, or if you know of a resource, I'd love to read it!I've not thought about the algorithm I will use for the multi threaded version of the box blur. A good (and easy) technique would be to split the workload between threads and have them work on their own sections of the image independently. I hope it's a good intro to multi threading because there's almost no communication between threads, except for a couple of rendezvous barriers.Have a great day, and thanks for watching!

Our guide told us a similar story during our tour last night. We were in death row and on our way out we heard two distinct knocks on the brown door. Our guide was already out of the room, waiting at the gallows, but us in the back heard the knocks. The people in front of us thoughts one of them had done it as a joke but when my friends and I passed by it happened again! Definitely the scariest part of the tour for us!
