This is a little video we threw together last minute to show the process of retrofitting D2S projectors as well as color change LED halos into a set of stock 2015 ...
+Matt “oneillm987” O I meant tips for headlights that already have permaseal. But I went ahead and bought some depot's off eBay and I know they're butyl so no worries.
Use butyl to seal the headlights it is the stickiest and when heated will mold into all the cracks without making a mess. Plus it is what most headlight housings are usually sealed with from the factory.
You should because each car is gonna sit different so horizontal in one may not be in another, and therefore there's no way to know without throwing it in the car and lining it up. BUT with some careful measurement and a level and some tape I'm sure you can mark off the light before taking it off the truck so you know where level is ahead of time, and then line it up off the car.
thanks for the video man! i plan on doing this with my 07 and i assume it
will be relatively the same process. the only question i have is where did
you run the wires for the halos? Also did you wire them independently from
the headlights.
Thanks again! Rock ON!
+Matt “oneillm987” O oh okay. yeah I was just wondering cause that's the only thing that I wasn't sure how to go about. maybe just drilling a small hole in the shroud to run the wire through or something. guess I'll have to cross that bridge when I get there. haha
They are seperate, in fact the whole halo system is separate. luckily enough the control unit is based on a remote so you just keep all the wiring under the hood and then use the remote to change the colors. I wasn't there when he ran the wiring though because of work, I just helped with the install of the actual projectors and halos.
