Hi! When I went to a dealer to check it in person, i noticed that the one
with sunroof is big an luminous, but it barely opened!!! now i see in your
video that this base turbo model you had it intalled, It looks great!
although prob not a luminous as the factory sunroof but at least it opens
all the way. my question is: what would be more convinient: to get the
non-turn with sunroof package? or to save those few thousands, get the
base, and have professionally installed as you did to this car?
I would not want a new car with an after market sun roof. If I planned to
buy this car and you told me the sun roof was not factory installed I
wouldn't buy the car. I have no idea why you would do that. So everything
is under vw warranty except the sun roof? You've modified the car in a
major way. How does the affect the vw warranty? What if the roof leaks,
damages the interior. I guess the customer is screwed. Its not a vw sun
roof so why would they cover any damages?
Good morning! The panoramic roof does only open about halfway; I guess
that's just the drawback to being as big a piece of glass as it is. It does
open more than the panoramic on the CC, which only tilts, but again, if you
really want that open-air effect, it's going to fall short. However, IMO
(Bryan, not Trend Motors), I like keeping everything as factory as
possible. Therefore, if it was me, I would go for the panoramic roof option
from VW. Best of luck! -Bryan
The good thing is that this car is already sold, so you've got nothing to
worry about! :-) The reason we had this installed is that at the time, VW
was not providing any information on when we would be receiving sunroof
models in stock. The sunroof was covered by a separate warranty from the
installer.
My dad has this but in white and the better rims. I love this car but i
hate the framless windows. Because of the emergency thing. Never goes up
when driving. And sometimes when you close the door the window doesnt go
up. So you have to reset it. But nice car over all
There is a dial below the headlight switch that controls the colors. The
dash means that the lights are off, and after that you've got a choice
between White, Blue, and Red.
