So, "inquiring minds wants to know" (lol) have you left your AxeFx rig behnd in favor of the Friedman Amps? The Axefx IS phenomenal sounding and very versatile, BUT nothing will ever equal or better tubes. It's just the way it is. I'm not being negative at all towards the AxeFx, just stating a fact.

Does the name Friedman mean it's a product endorsed or made by Marty Friedman formerly of Megadeth? I know I could just google it but my shrink tells me I need to be more sociable and I'm willing to do whatever it takes to fix this mess without shock treatment.

They are both similar. The Stevens is more "vintagey" with more bottom and has a full clean channel. The BE100 is more Modern sounding. The SS100 has a little more gain on the regular dirt channel the BE100 has more gain on the HBE side.

what amp is better in your opinion Friedman BE100 or Friedman Steve Stevens Signature.. well not better but out of the two which one is good for metal.. has more gain, and can handle drop tune badass brutal chug city.. thanks

Mahogany body and neck, maple top(plain, flamed or quilted though quilted sounds different from plain and flamed according to john suhr) and either rosewood,ebony or pau ferro fingerboard will work excellent.

cool G Hand Grenade riff. Fun to play! I don't believe I've ever heard it before. Similar to Free Ride by Edgar Winter is some respects. Alternate similarity - a few Van Halen tunes.

also could you do a demo with no effects, so we can hear the actual amps tone.. I would love to hear this monster just amp->cable->guitar, and then maybe even boost it..

Fabulous to get the "in the room" tone down. Way better that using the Zoom HD. iPhone 5 has a great HD Cam and with the mic it is a great setup for quick vids.

Mark I find whatever you play through has more or less the same tones. Especially when you hit that open G. Its certainly true that tone is in the fingers! ;)

Nah, my tastes are still the same :) I am looking to get into a band or start one. I've been really busy. My rig is ready now, so I just have to find a band.
