@Drewberto97 Excellent question indeed! I personaly think that it´s quite possible if the cameras have the same shape but with some limitations perhaps! It reminds me the day I placed all my IBook G4 into a PowerBook Alluminium case using the apple HD display built on it. IT WORKED propperly with some adaptations...

@lacrossestud2134 all iPhone 4S phones are the same, this one in particular had service with AT&T. the LCD screen and digitizer is the same however the assembly brackets are slightly positioned in different spots making it non-compatible with the iPhone 4. check out our blog we explain the differences in detail

Ok.. so, This video forgot to mention the Gold bit that goes near the power button, and it also forgot to mention the plastic shield that goes over the bit near the vibrator, The gold bit is pretty important, but the plastic bit is only used to make it easier to put the screw back in.

pentelope screwdriver is only for the case i.e the bottom two screws near the speakers apple thought how nice it would be to screw with you, heaven forbidden you use one screwdriver for all like the previous iphones

can you possibly do another video just showing how to take the 2 cameras out? i can see to get to the one but if not needing all the other screws out would be nice to see as well as a way for the other camera.

what are the chassis screws and what bit should i be using on them? i stripped like half of them when tearing down and only screwed 4 in on reassembly

The video also forgot to mention to take off the plastic protector off the LCD on the inside of the screen.

It might be something on the motherboard sending out wrong voltages to your camera, and slowly frying the connections. So I guess replacing the motherboard would be appropriate, alongside a new camera that is.. OR, you could try to format your phone. It might be an OS-issue. I'd suggest you format it first, and if that doesn't help, then change the MB.

I have an observation, there is no problem if you for example remove or touch the dock connector without gloves if you´re sure your hands are completely clean an free of dirty or the body´s oil, cause if not you can create interferences in the transmision of data or current or even worse a short circuit

The same happened to me.. everything was working great but the camera was failing.. I replaced the spare and it kept with out opening, do I had to replace the whole iPhone

Just got a 6S Plus a couple weeks ago and my home button was already acting up like this. Tried your solution and it worked like a charm. It was annoying too cause I'm really careful with my phone. Thanks for uploading this man!
