Disputing Traffic Tickets - 540Merlin's Step by Step Procedure
Fighting taffic tickets. 3 decades of red muscle cars for daily drivers has made me somewhat of an expert. I have gotten off the last 15 tickets in a row using the ...
@540Merlin... I have a better idea don't be a dumbass and drive like a
fucking idiot then you don't have to worry about getting tickets. If you
want to drive like an idiot or race take that shit to the dragstrip.
They say that ignorance is bliss. Is it true Michael?I drive a red muscle car to and from work every day. I get tickets for anything you can imagine that they have tickets for. I got one for driving uncourteously. I got stopped once by a cop who said "We have a report of you doing a burnout at this intersection last Friday". I've had roadblocks set up on my way to work just to stop me - no reason, just an asshole cop. I once got three tickets at one stop: failing to dim high beams, speeding, and not properly fastening my seat belt. I got a ticket for excessive speeding, but I was 10 miles from where they said it occurred. All of these and many more were totally bullshit.Absolute lies. It's part of the hobby for me - fighting cops who make up shit to give me tickets. Before you also accuse me of stuff I didn't do, just like the cops do, try driving a red muscle car to and from work for a while. And cheer up a little Mr. Grumpy Pants.
As an 'Murican I was struck by two things in this video. First, the
situation he outlined at the beginning is basically Drag Racing in my State
a Class 1 misdemeanor: up to $2,500.00 fine and six months in jail. You'd
damn well better have a criminal lawyer representing you in this case. (if
yer gonna race have the wherewithal to hire one) The second thing: kiddies
this guy is a Canadian, notice how his country still has a non-corrupt
judicial system? Not so down here in the lower 48 again you'll want
representation. That being said, know this: he is 110% correct: never *Ever*
plead guilty to a traffic citation. fight everyone using the procedures
he's outlined, if everyone did this the racket of extorting private
citizens for non-accident/non-injury tickets could be curbed somewhat.
Its funny i found this video last night at nine i was driving my 84 chevy
with a mildly loud 350 in it with a few mods im 16 never had a traffic
violation in my life and i was approaching a red stop light so i started to
slow down to stop but the light turned green and a 4 door car passed me so
i speed up to get back up to the speed limit then me and the car passed a
truck stop not far from the light where a dot cop was sitting with a state
cop i thought noting of it i was doing noting wrong i continued down the
highway going 55 mph when about 2 2.5 miles down the road a cop came up
with his lights on passing me and pulling over the guy in the car then the
cop jumped out of his car and pulled me to the side to witch it turns out
we both got tickets for "drag racing" we were both going the speed limit
and were driving normal i didn't get any other ticket like speeding
careless driving just a racing ticket this sucks idk what to do
So let me get this straight you're only 16 and you say you've never had any traffic violation in your life, lmfao. Give me a fucking break!!!!. And let me guess mommy and daddy probably bought the car for you spoiled ass fucking brat. I worked my ass off and earned everything that I have and proud of it too.
@Thehunterswild.. Every state needs to make it a law that you must be at least 18 years old before you can start driving and you also would be required to go through and complete A strict driving course. Young kids these days have no damn business driving a car too immature and too dangerous and kids these days think that everything is a joke.
+Amco Celo First off, they said her license was revoked. She is not legally allowed to drive. Second, they said they have tried to catch her in the act but have no idea where she is going to be. America is not the only country that has people who act like fools and put peoples lives at risk.
I am amazed that red-light running is only a civil matter in the USA. Here
in the UK it is a criminal offence and you will go to court for it. If you
do it four times in a row, they suspend your licence. If you drive on a
suspended licence, you go to prison. Simples :o)
+XmisterIS No he was saying the camera tickets are a civil matter - not sure about running the red light - there should be something done about that because taking one's life is CRIMINAL and RECKLESS - someone waiting for some person to die from her ugly behavior.
It seems the US in some states is more lenient on certain things, here the owner is up for the ticket, driving while banned in England is not always a prison sentence. I know someone who did it many times before he got 6 months in prison.
It's not always civil. If you actually get stopped by an officer for running a red light, it's a criminal offense (or, for you, offence) because you are clearly identified as the one who committed the violation. In the case of a camera, however, most municipalities rule it a civil offense, as the driver cannot be identified - most cities only require your license plate to be photographed, not the person behind the wheel.Driving with a suspended license is also quite a big deal. Expired? The cop will usually give you a ticket. Revoked or suspended? You've just won an all-expenses-paid trip downtown.
