Army escort after four New Zealand police shot
Four police were shot in New Zealand today. It is said but not confirmed that the police helicopter was shot at after looking for cannabis plants in the area.

The obvious question not being asked is why is the army even involved in
what is a civilian event that only the Police should handle. Echoes of
Boston come to mind when the whole city of 700,000 was in military lockdown
chasing one 19 year old "terrorist".

Part 1. I was robbed $260 and beaten by a group of thugs I thought were my
friends, I went straight to the police and all they did was keep it on
record, nothing more. I wasn't impressed by the police's efforts so took
the matter into my own hands, after a bit of investigation I found out the
gang leaders full name, address, phone number and employer. I contacted him
and told him that if the he didn't give me back the stolen money I'd
contact his employer to expose the truth about him.

Part 2. He then went to the police, the police later contacted me and said
I'd be arrested and charged with criminal harassment if I contacted him
again. I told them why I did what I did and instructed them to look at the
report I made to prove it, they refused to listen to me and continued to be
dismissive when I tried to explain.

New Zealand Police don't need evidence, in order to fine drivers for alleged unsafe driving, they do not even need to witness the alleged incident themselves.

And if this was a motorist driving recklessly/dangerously around a cyclist
the police would tell you to fuck off and stop wasting their time. If only
police applied the laws against motorists when they drive dangerously
around cyclists, both NZ and Australia have a piss poor level of driving
even worse than the UK!!

+ynotnilknarf39 You can even give NZ Police videos of acts way in excess of the word of mouth infringement suggested here and the Police will do jack shit. I know you say AU NZ is worse, but the scale of the difference is massive, and a real shock to overseas visitors.

jail time, compounded his car then fined him and sent him to court! I'm

they work off the idea you wont go to court and argue the ticket in court
no evidence no charge at this stage it is only HEARSAY but you have to go
to court to prove your end in new Zealand YOU ARE GUILTY TILL PROVEN
INNOCENT straight up bullshit but that's how it is at this stage it a
shame
