look i agree with the laws, but i don't like them. and your right, its not
so much the power, its the torque. p platers will try to take take any car
up to 200, i know for a fact. but its the cars that have high acceleration
that get guys into trouble because they dont know enough about control.
think about it, i wouldnt be buying a 200+kw s14 for looks. btw, going back
a few comments, there are many parents who buy their 18yo kids expensive
cars, including lotus elises.
Man 100 hours..200 hours a thousand hours..driving...Its not gonna change
shit..I admit...driving fast and booting it at the lights is bad
shit....But its so fucking addictive...Especially when your driving a turbo
rotary...LOL .....but i have learnt ...3 months suspension is fucked...and
a week later after getting licence back police yellow stickered my
rx7...Shes on the road now...And its still hard not too give her shit..
It's out current capitalist system that are fuckheads. The government gets
reputation from things like this because people think they genuinely care
about young people. But in reality all they care about is money.
Governments are business'. (Trying to rationalise speed cameras = no one
questions their revenue.)
Sorry your logic is a little silly. How many 19 year olds can afford a
lotus elise or an ariel atom (Which is something you would be hard pressed
to find on any Australian road)? QLD rules will probably end up matching
VIC's 125kw/ton rule which is a little more restrictive.
these laws are a start but more needs to be done as for all you whingers
maybe you should go with the police for a while and see what its like to
have to pick up dead bodies off the road and then go and tell there family
what has happened its not easy or nice
Nah not the base model... I'm not saying we could buy them....i'm saying if
say our parents had one we could drive a 5 sec 0-100 car 100% legally. Yet
if someone elses parents had an old v8 with a 0-100 of about 10 sec, we
can't.
@lukebaldan A 19yr old...yeh they could buy one if they saved up.
Hypothetically, I could drive an aerial atom without the supercharger, with
4 sec 0-100's. The governments logic is just ridiculous.
These laws don't stop us driving fast cars....we can drive a lotus elise
0-100 in around 5 sec. But we can't drive a V8 VB commodore with 0-100 in
about 15. Makes a whole lot of fucking sense
I guess you can pick up a 2nd hand base elise for $50000 these days which
is still a hell of a lot of money for a 18-19 year old! Not to mention the
chance of being insured
Just ignore my silliness, I am shouting out the QLD Motovlogger and Fan Meet that will be on the Gold Coast Botanic Gardens on 28th of November. Details can ...
